Good luck! I hope you are getting that early date that you need!

Keep me in your thoughts for my NVC call tonight >< I just want that number! I feel like USCIS somehow figured out that Jon and I are planning to intentionally delay our peition so we can have an interview in January and are deciding to test my nerves and patience!!! So mean!

Just curious why you were intentionally delaying your petition(sorry if i missed you saying it in earlier posts). We are also looking to have our interview towards the end of the year (dec-jan)and have had to intricately plan everything so it works out . So i was just curious lol

As far as booking interviews in London. We were able to do so after it said in transit for about 3 days. My partner didn't complete the ds-160 but didn't have a problem scheduling so it seems possible.

I mentioned that once they gave me the Case number and my status changed to: "In Transit', I got a generic message telling me that my interview date was provided by the NVC.

However, that was just a generic message. It really goes by whatever process each embassy has.

There was another forum/blog that I found that told me how to track the package on DHL from the NVC to the embassy.

http://www.k1-visa.net/Home/After-Filing-the-K1/TRACK/DHL-Tracking

EXP 05 OCT 2016A (this is the format you have to use to track your package). Once the Embassy receives it, It takes a few more days (usually 2-3) to change to "ready"

Yes! This worked, I found it. They told me it was transferred today, so I used EXP 04 OCT 2016A and found it! Thank you!

AND I was finally able to find my visa status online! Everywhere says K1 is a non-immigrant visa... except for the embassies, it seems, and all day I had been putting in our case number but searching for it as a non-immigrant visa... which resulted in nothing. I don't know why I didn't think to try "immigrant" before this evening. It has been quite a day.

Thanks, everyone! :D

Allison I am sorry that I forgot to mention that you have to track it through CEAC as immigrant! I am so sorry about that!

Still no LND number. I think I am going to skip calling tomorrow just to give myself a break from that horrid music.

Here is to hoping Friday has good news for us. Thank you all for your hopes and prayers. I am sorry to ask that I still need them coming our way. I am beginning to worry they lost our small packet or forgot about it. I am trying hard not to panic!!!!

Sorry, I forgot to answer this. We have to delay our petition for family reasons. My family travels a lot and we wanted them to be at the wedding, so we had to push it to late April. We are hoping for a March 1St entry date! I am also hoping to be there for his interview. It is not even close to required by London, but I am curious to see the embassy lol.

Now I just need that stupid LND number!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Okay, That makes sense ! I hope you get the dates you need. Im really surprised its taking so long to NVC but I'm sure it will be there soon. We were NOA2 9/13 and received our number last monday. SO yours has to be close. I really don't know how they do it over there its very strange lol

Still hoping all others waiting for their approvals will get them soon!

So after 4 long months, i've just received an RFE :(

No idea what it could possibly be! I checked our file several times before sending.... Feeling so nervous and exhausted from this process already! Hoping its just something minor...

NOA1- July 1

RFE- Oct 5

Hoping it's something minor and one that you can fix quickly and return to them. Wishing you speedy approval after that. Hang in there.

Interview: Nov 17 12:00 (will try for a few days to get a closer date)

:dancing:

As you all know, we were having issues with it saying "Visa not ready for interview", but about an hour ago it allowed us to continue past that point, register the courier, pay the fee, and pick a date!

You mean if we keep that date... then we'll be there for our interview the same day as your fiance?! And our fiances will be at their medical appointment on the same day?!

Edit: and maybe you already said this previously, but our NOA2 dates are the same!

This is too weird.

If you end up being from my hometown... or if they're in the same city... (which is not too unusual considering how small the UK is compared to the US. But I digress.

Hi guys! I hope everyone is doing well. :)

I just have a quick question.

The current status of our application is "in transit". We need to change the address since my fiancé (petitioner) moved. We already changed it to USCIS. Is that enough or do I need to do address change to NVC?

Thank you so much. :)

Lol yup! We were going to try for an earlier interview date too, but he wants to fly on Dec 7 so Nov 17 gives 3 weeks for him to receive his visa, so if we don't get one we're not worried.

When did you change your address with USCIS? Was it after the case was sent to the NVC? If it was after the case was sent to NVC I would give them a call to tell them of the change since they will not get the update from the USCIS for the tiny amount of time a K-1 is at the NVC. That way in case they mailed your consulate number to the petitioner they should be able to receive it at the right address.

If you move (beneficiary) that is a whole different animal.

Wow... what are the odds of our dates aligning? I'm thinking lottery ticket... :P

Well, if we do end up keeping that interview date, I'll scan the room and see if I recognize him... based on that tiny photo here on VJ. Oh god, I can see it now. I get kicked out of the US Embassy for "harassing" applicants.

hahah! Your fiance is much more recognizable. The only thing that stands out about Alex is he is TALL. like 6'2" or something. also he literally always wears earbuds.

I wish i could be at the interview with him too... but unfortunately my coworker is on maternity leave, so my boss just really couldn't approve PTO. But I'll be there in spirit, and you can be my proxy ;)

does your fiance already have all his AoS vaccines? is he going to get them at the medical? I'm wondering if it's worth it, i have good insurance so it should just be covered by that if he wants to get them here...
