Everyone seems to be getting close to interviews!! Good luck! I can't wait to hear about them! Anyone still waiting for their NOA2?

We all here about our interview, the July filers who are still waiting, don't write, it's not easy, they are sad.

I hope everybody will be approved before the end of this month. All friends who are still waiting, please, don't be sad, it will come the approval and it will be when you less expect it. Hold yourself together, there is the light at the end of the tunnel. I pray for everybody's approval, for everybody's long distance good understanding, love and very soon visa

Tasha

Thank you to all you, guys, for you being with me and congratulating me

Thank you, guys to all of you from the bottom of my heart! Of course I will be here and sharing about our visa.

I also wish so much to all July filers being approved, not waiting, but approved these days, to have the happiness to reunite with your love! (F)(L)

and here I am, now questions, it's nice to be approved, it's great we can go to the interview, I am packing my suitcase to go to be with my fiance there and, thinking, usually the NOA2 approved has 90 days validity and during these 90 days is to schedule the interview. Then the interview scheduled, the interview date rules and the interview could be change up to 3 times. Please, correct if I am mistaking something.

Now the question, we don't have the NOA2, we don't know what date it was approved therefore we don't know when it will expire. Somebody told me call and find out about the NOA2. What if I don't receive a clear answer about the NOA2? You know how it works or doesn't sometimes. What if waiting for answers about NOA2, our approval expires?

So I am saying to myself, not worrying about the NOA2 expiration but counting from the day USCIS received our file, no mistake there, the validity can be as soon as the day they received, it's not likely but let's count it like that. It means we still have about 25 days to schedule our interview and we better do and run because we don't know when the NOA2 expires

Tasha

The NOA2 expires four months after approval. So you can "guesstimate" by assuming it took about 14 days average to get to the NVC. Mine, like many others, took 10 days. Good luck in Lagos.

Yes, I am thinking we were approved almost the days our file was received, we have the 1st K1 visa approval very well too, I am not only good with documents but also I have everything very well, all is there, maybe even my military ID helped, so I better count all days starting from our file receiving or NOA1, better this way than sorry and not doing at time. I sent our file on July 23, received on July 25, NOA1 July 27 and I did see our file touched in August 6. we also got the letter in July 17 saying our 1st visa expired and it's cancelled because the expiration. So as I see they were working in our file somewhere at the beginning of August, it was just not updated online for us, the filers, all inside computer system is updated as is already showing in ceac place, it's all computerized from the beginning and it goes in the internal computer system from USCIS to NVC and from NVC to the embassy

Wishing everybody who is waiting, very soon approval or the surprise approval as I have. Good Luck to all this night!

Hi everyone,

I just got an email receipt and I'm not sure if it is the NOA2. It says,

"During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators."

But in the beginning of the email it said it was transferred to another USCIS office. Anyone else get this? What is it?

"Life is short. Break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly and never regret anything that made you smile."

Ok, so apparently we were just transferred to the California Service Center (what it said when I called) but our NOA1 says it was already being sent to the California Service center. IDK how anyone gets anything done talking to ppl at the USCIS consumer serivice because they never tell me anything. I am rightfully frustrated and waiting for the letter of explanation.

Sounds like a background check, maybe because of religion or a Muslim country

We were also approved on the 15th. I called the NVC last friday (or thursday, I don't remember now), on Monday, again today, and still no case number. I plan on calling again Friday and then again Monday. Every day seems like overkill since tomorrow it will be 2 weeks that we received our NOA2. But starting Monday, however, I will begin calling every day.

So far the people I've spoken to there have been very nice and easy to talk to. No one has said to call back in 6 weeks, but they all inform me that it can take up to 6 weeks for it to be received and assigned a case number. One person at the NVC told me to keep calling once per week.

I do hope we are able to get our case number as fast as others here seem to (at the 2-week mark). I don't want yet another step taking longer than everyone else. Haha! We just want to schedule some things, finally have some things WE can control.... ish. Good luck! Keep me posted!

Two weeks my case has been at the NVC. I called last Tuesday and got my case number and invoice number, but it hasn't moved on yet to Morocco.

How long does it normally take? And why won't it hurry along? :(

Plus side, we have the police and court records with translation, all the support information, pictures from my recent trip there for a week (plus boarding passes and passport stamps), and we're ready for the packet to get here so we can schedule the medical.

I think just like with every other step of the process, it varies from case to case, but it seems to take about 2 weeks on average, and I'm sure it also depends on where the embassy is located.

Quick question guys:

My NVC visa status changed to "In Transit" and followed by a message that says: "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

That does not mean they are assigning the date for my interview, correct?

I still have to fill out the DS-160,pay for fees and schedule the interview on my own. Can somebody help?

Thanks for your help.
