I-129F July 2016 Filers

Even though we will be dealing with an apparently easy embassy (London), we front-loaded our petition with evidence of a relationship. I probably got a little carried away with other supporting documentation and included my passport scans as well as my BC because I wasn't sure if the BC is the "long form" they ask for or not. It is the BC with which I obtained my passport last year, so I'm assuming it is sufficient, but I didn't want to get an RFE about that. With all of the documents and evidence we submitted, the package was about 100 pages, but looked very tidy with tabs at the bottom and two-hole-punched at the top. I have uploaded an image of this to my profile because I wasn't able to find where to upload it to this post. In any case, good luck to everyone, my fellow July filers! :dancing:

I'm quoting myself in my reply... is this like Googling Google? The internet will implode now?

Anyway, I realized I didn't include info on the dates we sent the petition. (I had in my "original" post, but trying to attach an image made me lose it all, and when I started over, I left the filing dates out... obviously.)

We sent in our I-129F packet on June 30th, it arrived on July 1st. On July 6th, literally an hour before I was heading to the airport to go visit my fiance, I received the text message and email notifications. When I received the hard copy, it was also dated July 6th, but it arrived while I was gone, so I don't know the day it actually arrived. Because it was dated July 6th, that's the date in input on my timeline.

So hard to believe a month has passed already!

Welcome everyone to the forum! I am so glad to see more July filers. I was starting to wonder where everyone was!

Do not worry about an RFE until it comes! That is what I try and tell everyone in the RFE Master List forum. If anyone does get an RFE don't hesitate to ask here because I run the master list and have all the data so I will make sure to get you a timely response with what you would need to reply with to get an approval based off what others have done in the past!

Here is to hoping no one gets an RFE but I will be here to help if anyone does!

Hello Kat, on the G325, it ask about previous marriage info. In one slot, it ask about place and date previous marriage took place. On the next slot, it also asked about place and date marriage ended. I realized that I had an oversight and only stated where my previous marriage took place but omitted the date it occurred. However, I correctly stated where and when it ended. Do you think this could be an issue that could cause a RFE requesting evidence on the date the marriage took place?

There is a possibility that they may send you an RFE for this missed information, but you may be lucky and get by without it. Most likely what they will do is send you that section of the form to fill out and resend in. If you did miss it and do get an RFE it should be very easy to fix.

From past experiences on the Master List their main concern seems to be the divorce decree and the proof that you are legally able to get married again. Did you include all pages of your divorce decree or anullment.

HI All,

We sent our G-325A in with our correctly filled out Petition along with all documentation required from the official site. The official site gets a little confusing with regards that it doesn't have bullet point form and what we read was that if an IMBRA or a representative is filing your petition then they need to send further proof of relationship such as photo's passport of travelling to meet each other , time and date stamped photo's.

Our petition was no more than 20 pages with Passport photo's, G325,letter of intent to marry and permission for my other half to file my personal information.

Obviously in processing the application one would think that with us having a Baby together would be seen as she is a dual citizen. Also the fact that on our petition all mail goes to Australia to our address where both parties live. Also we have 5 years of history of living at the same address. Reading others send in these very long petitions made us think that we didn't send enough supporting evidence ? ,however, reading other peoples stories quiet often it appears that it is the person or persons processing your application can ask for more or be satisfied with only a certain amount of information. We have our NOA1 in which the check has been cashed and now in processing. i read somewhere on this forum buy a lawyer that if a petition is incorrectly filled out they won't cash a check. so many stories and everyones journey is different by the looks of things.

I got my email and text today!!!!! Can I use this date on my timeline as my NOA1?

That's the date I used. I haven't received the hardcopy yet but I received the text and email on August 2nd and then checked my status online which said they actually received it on July 29th... So I'm not really sure which date to use either. For now I've left it as August 2nd.

  • I-129F mailed : 07/23/2016

NOA1: 07/29/2016

Hardcopy of NOA1: 08/08/2016

Received date is when your packet arrived there, not necessarily the same day they viewed it.

When you get your NOA1 hardcopy there will be a 'notice date'. That's your real NOA1 date.

I got my text and email on July 21st, my notice date was actually July 20th. So it may differ a day or so. :star:(L)
