I just got home from visiting my fiancé in Australia. It's so painful to say goodbye and to leave such a gorgeous country.

Good news is we are just about waiting for an interview date, so hopefully it will be a brief time apart (as I wish for all of you: speedy permanent reunions!!).

Tasha and everyone else waiting, sending you good thoughts for this week!!

Welcome back!!!!

It's so hard. Our "song" is Billy Joel's "The Longest Time." I was fighting back tears on the flight home, and decided to listen to the free music Delta provided along the way.

Pop in the earphones...."The Longest Time" was on. Ugh. Worst flight ever.

But let's look on the bright side! It's almost all over!

Thank you!!!! I love that song, you poor thing. That's just adding insult to injury! Fighting back the tears - it's so hard. It is almost over and it's just the beginning, isn't it? I hope I get to see a photo of you two on your wedding day, valabum. Your story is so special!

Morning all!! A new week is starting!! Keep faith up and smile...and wait. Haha..Hope things will move faster this week.

A question...since the new fiscal year is starting October 1st, what will happen for the pending filings? How those things work?

I've read someone here saying that passed 60 days waiting your file is more likely to be ready in 5 months.

..please nooooo...I could go myself in California in their office find my file grab an approved stamp in someone desk and bam and stamp it on my file and walk out like a boss..hahhaha

I also saw someone say that on this thread about the "over 60 days" thing, but ours was approved on day 71, so I wouldn't worry. :D

People received their quicker because their case maybe simple and easy.

Also, few months back, there are back log from May, June, July..But the 4th quarter of every year, not much petition as Summer..

That is how USCIS speed up the process.

Last couple months, they start slow, due to backlog and takes average 90 days.

In August, not much filer compare to last couple previous months

I'm getting myself confused.

My case has been passed on to the NVC. I called and got my case number and invoice number. I keep checking it and all it says is "At NVC". Then under that is a link to 6 more steps you need to do including pay another fee and submit supporting documents (which I already did). Are these steps I'm supposed to be doing or not? I don't see these steps on the list from VJ, but that doesn't means I won't worry about doing something wrong.

Please help my sanity!
