I found out my LDN case number over the phone and the lady supplied me with an invoice number. What's that for? Let me know if you can

I believe it's only needed if your visa type requires you to fill out the DS-260, instead of the DS-160 for K1 filers.

Ok thanks! Will have to do it sometime this week.

YES! You can pay it online. You don't need to send the money (at least with Nicaragua). There are several payment options. I just paid our fee Monday.

Here are online payment options.

When I scheduled mine in the cgifederal.secure.force.com, I got to the payment step, and there was a link with options. I paid it online using Paypal which is linked to my bank account.

Hi everyone I have question that i could not find while searching. My fiance and I are filling out the DS160 now. But is there a way I can pay the fee on his behalf? I am the petitioner. Or do I have to send him money so he can pay for it?

If it's the online payment, you can give him your credit card number, pin and he can pay or you get visa gift card and do the same. I got the reloaded visa card, registered on my name (needs the SSN) and I can give him the card or the card numbers and pin and he can pay the online fees, if he has the card, he can also use the ATM and even shopping with the reloaded visa card on my name, I check the balance online and reload more money if it's needed. The thing is the reloding visa is debit, you need to have cash but you can reloaded with another visa, my Navy Federal let me do it

Using PayPal is great! I am not sure if in every country we have these options

I did the same thing yesterday! I knew I should wait another week since I had only gotten my NOA2 on the 7th, but I couldn't help it. I called and got my case number and invoice number! They said to call back next week or check next week and the application should be sent to Casablanca. Hearing "you'll be dealing with them from then on" was brilliant!

Habibi and I have really had to step up our wedding planning!!

There was just something about her saying that line that felt so surreal!

This whole thing feels so bizarre. My childhood pen pals brother - my teenage crush - that guy I met on a sofa 11 years ago and didn't have the guts to tell him how I felt....I'm telling this person on the other end of the line his full name, birthday and my own. We're getting married!!!!

It was so awesome when I told him. I have a cold at the moment, unfortunately!

I say "She asked for your birthday, and she said, - cough cough - LDN....."

He replied, "Oh! Did she add the coughs too?" Haha!

Sooooo, my fiancé and I agreed to be mature and patient while waiting for the case number to arrive in the mail.....

Hahaha - who are we kidding? I'd had enough waiting and called today!

Not only did I get the number, but the case was sent to London a week ago! Whoo hoo!!!!!!

I wanted to cry when the operator kindly said "You'll be dealing with London from now on! Have a nice day!"

I can't wait to tell him!!!!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!

Our application arrived at the embassy today! It's insane how quick this is moving for us, I did not anticipate this timeline at all. It's almost a bit overwhelming to be honest, I expected to be finishing the semester before things got this far. And now today I realized there's a chance I forgot to put the postal code on the envelope that my i134 and such is in... here's hoping I didn't totally mess up and my documents get to italy safe and soundly.:clock:

It's funny you're all discussing the NOA2 hard copy now. We just received ours yesterday and it was the first thing I noted... how fancy it is with the water marks, and the red "smear" down the middle haha! I've never heard others really remark on the NOA2 hard copy. I think our July Filers forum is a pretty neat little community. I'm glad we're all still keeping up with the process, sharing our experiences, and asking questions beyond just waiting on the NOA2s. And for those who have yet to receive your NOA2, you'll get it soon! Just hang in there! :D

I believe it's only needed if your visa type requires you to fill out the DS-260, instead of the DS-160 for K1 filers.

I'm kind of confused with the process...I'm not sure how to do the following steps towards my visa. I've got police certificates, birth certificate, LDN case number- I'm about to do DS-160, submit it and pay the fee on USA embassy website in London. Schedule my interview. Schedule my medical exam as well. Is it the correct way? Do I have to do things on NVC website and process all documents and pay before they forward my case to the embassy?im not sure how it works...I don't have a letter from NVC yet..please let me know how you got your interview and how you paid the visa fee and on which website. Thank you so much!

Sounds like you're on the right track. I'd schedule your medical first, however, to ensure you choose a date for the interview after the medical. And keep in mind that it apparently takes 5 business days for the medical exam results to be couriered to the embassy. You don't need to do anything with the NVC since you've already received your case number. Any payment at this point goes to the embassy for the actual visa.

Others will have to remark on how they scheduled their interviews and paid. I know it's on the embassy site, but anything specific... well... my fiance and I aren't at that point yet. Soon, though! Good luck!

(Response from my fiance in uk)

I got my NVC number last week and haven't had anything sent to me from NVC or embassy yet, but I have completed everything and booked my medical and interview.

Good that you have police and birth certificate already. Make sure you also get the affidavit of support with supporting documents and an new letter of intent from the USC. Also make sure you have UK + USA sized passport pictures . You also need vaccination history from your GP to take to the medical, they should supply this if you just ask, make sure the Dr or Nurse sign and date it.

You can schedule the medical now you have the LND number, call up knightsbridge centre (020 7486 7822) they are open Mon-Fri 9-5. They will ask a few questions like- Name, DOB, phone+email, LND case number, date you want medical (isn't a long wait time about 7-10 days).

http://www.visamedicals.info/us-bring.asp - Knightsbridge website has all the info

I then filled out my DS-160 and submitted it online. You will need a USA passport picture for this. https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/

After that you can fill out your notification of readiness form and submit that too, https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/iv-notification-of-app-readiness/

After that you can register, pay the visa fee (£204) and courier fees (£18). Then book your interview, there are dates available at the moment from 28th October. https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/niv

Print out all the confirmations and receipts from the online forms to take to your embassy interview.

Any problems just message me.
