Never ever compare your case to others or think the CSC processing times here on VJ are accurate. It's not. It's quite the standard now to receive a NOA2 or RFE within 3 months of NOA1 but you can always be an exception.

If 40 days for a NOA already stresses you out in the K1 process, good luck keeping yourself calm during AOS -> ROC -> Naturalization  K1 is just a joke.

Keep it to your self, don't stress out, NOA2 will comes people!!!! enjoy every seconds in life, enjoy holiday, enjoy weekend. :dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing:

I do understand, but... the thing that will make AOS -> ROC -> Naturalization easier is that my fiance will then be my husband, and we'll at least be in the same country, let alone the same house. I'm sure those steps have just as much stress in other ways, but to us, being together is more than half the battle.

And thank you! :D

I agree Allison. I was reading this and just shaking my head thinking what could possibly be difficult about AOS and N-400 when you have your loved one next to you and have no need to be involved in a virtual conversation again. Absolutely nothing other than gathering your documents and attending your interview. I have family members who have been through this process, so speaking from experience. So yes , I see why we all stress.

The way I see it is that the time goes fast anyway, most people need that time to get their affairs in order before they leave their home country. Yes is does suck a bit not having your loved one near you but 5 -6 months out of our lives is a blip on the radar screen.

I've been with my fiancé for 5.5 years now and we started our relationship as long distance, back and forth for around 10 a 11 months before her committing to come to Australia.

We had originally thought we were in for a long wait with this visa and set our minds to that. But we were going me of the ones that were first out of the gate so to speak. I wish I could have swapped our approval for someone that desperately needed to get home to their significant other.

Yes, the main thing is not only the long distance but a very long distance, I mean if it's not a country where our significant other can get the tourist visa and come to visit and also long distance expensive visits for us, or busy time like working or being sick and not able to travel.

I read that post and I was smiling, saying to myself, let my foreign husband worrying about his AOS, Naturalization, I won't, he will be here at home with me, any worries will be divided between 2, any happiness will be multiplied at least by 100

Ouch, looooong weekend!

Hang in their guys and gals ! The time will pass and when you have you K1 visa- AOS and the green card it won't matter anyway.

I agree, I don't see how AOS can be worse. I haven't seen my fiancé in over 6 months now and I'm 9 months pregnant with his daughter who he doesn't know when he'll get to actually meet, let alone help me raise. And we don't even know if he'll be granted the visa at all. Once we are together it will be a lot easier for both of us, I don't think we'll be worrying too much about any waiting times after that.

I've been trying not to worry too much about the approvals since I'm not expecting anything until at least a month from now. But it does make being patient a lot harder when so many July filers have been approved already. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but every time a July filer gets approved it feels like one step closer for us. Here's to hoping for speedy approvals for everyone! :)

Thank you, Jaffandliz, I understand and I think we all do, we all know we are the lucky ones because we have this right to bring our beloved home with us, we are very lucky also because the process is now not so long, I also think it's the time given to us to learn more about each other.

Anyway, it's not easy to live apart, somehow happened to be in love with the person from another country

Wow! Poor girl, your pregnant time alone, I wish you the soonest approval than for any of us. I don't see my fiance from January, I was 6 months so sick, hospital, emergency, now waiting for our 2nd K1, 1st we couldn't make it having the interview scheduled already, I almost died in emergency room here in US, so also it's understandable I am kinda desperate for him to come soon

Thanks Tasha, I'm sure many more will be approved before me but that's ok as long as ours comes in a reasonable time... Your approval is coming very soon I'm sure of it! Hopefully this upcoming week will be our turn :)
