I have a friend that works at the CSC and he mentioned exactly what soulstriker said. He said: It only takes me 10-15 minutes to approve an application if everything that I am looking for is there!! He also said that every application is different but in average if everything is there and the application is complete. (10-15 min).

Agree, If you read the old forum here in VJ there was a post about a guy who use to work as adjudicator of petition in NSC. He did said that it only take about 15 min. to approve or send out for RFE.

If you file K1 and K2 than they will approve at the same time. Time spending look at both application stay the same.

Can someone tell me how to apply for a k2 visa ?

Please

as far as I know, you have your children listed in I-129 application and the USCIS gives them the number, in our 1st approval I did see in ceac 2 same numbers (I guess the child number was having A at the end, not sure, don't remember), when you pay your visa and schedule the interview, you fill up DS-160 for each one and you pay the same visa fee for each child, this wau they are with you for the interview and visa. If you don't pay, I guess they still have approx 1 year for to follow up K2 visa, you better ask during your interview.

we didn't have her name anywhere in NOA2 either. when you get NVC number, look at ceac, it should list on the bottom 2 numbers, 1 for a parent, 2md one for a child, you do 2 visa payments and 2 DS-160, if the child is very little, I guess you don't need to fill up DS-160 for a child, look for the instructions, but you pay 2 visa fees, the same amount as for you on the 2nd number and you can also email the embassy asking if the child needs to be present in the interview, bring the passport and the birth certificate, don't foget medical, police record too unless it's little and doesn't need to
