This is something I've been trying to figure out! What if you have bad credit? Would that have brought his score down?

When we were in the US recently we asked about building credit, with Wells Fargo you can get what they call a secured credit card with $500 put on it of your own money and if you use it say even $2 a month and repay it for I think a year then it will build your credit rating. My partner has good credit so it is advised that if you go down the route of putting your partner on as a user then make sure your credit rating is good. Otherwise a secured credit card and say a car loan for a cheap car will also help build credit scores.

What email did you use and can you give me an idea what you put in the subject line and email? Should I try to email them and send them my NOA 2 date, my fiances name, dob, my name dob, our WAC #?

Go to the NVC website and there is a contact us section you then fill out a form with your information and below it asks if you would like to also send a message.

We did this 2 days ago and are waiting on a response still, it also says when you message them that emails will be responded to in order they receive them (God help us) lol

We both have regally high credit scores in Australia and it's disappointing to me (Jeff) that I couldn't transfer it over. But for someone with bad credit it is a good thing I guess, as you get to rebuild up to a good credit score. I am also looking at possibly setting up an account with a credit Union as they seem to have better relations with their clients. I am lucky my fiancé has a good credit score so we have options to go one way or the other.

Yes, very good credit score here in the states it's very important, we will build my fiance's credit with the help of mine, joint account, joint credit card first and then he can go the way he wants

What happen finally with the july 1st filers? California center is backlog or what?

How july 05, 08, 12, 21, 27 can be approved before us?

It's said that first come first serve. So now what?

Is it a Lottery now or what

Sorry, it's month by month, not day by day, they don't sort it by days, they just get files from the top of the bunch, if it did mix bringing it to the office, its the way it goes, not always the 1st it's processed 1st, be patient, it will come yours

Credit unions also tend to have better loan interest rates.

Sorry, but it can be put aside for many reasons, it can be misplaced, several files can be misplaced inside of the bunch, it can be a very big file and the employees maybe prefer get smaller ones first, it can be RFE and waiting, it can be doubts RFE or approve and waiting, it can be a human factor, 10 files got 1 employee including yours and got sick not coming to work for 2-3 days, etc. many things.

But think positive, it's OUR month! sooner or later you will get your answer

That's assuming they finish their stack of files. Someone here estimated there are about 5,000 cases in 1-3 days. Those include other visas too. It's easier said than done but we have to remember that it could take as long as 3 months. I hope it's sooner than later!
