That's good to know. Thank you. Yes, I do plan on going. Can you tell me what kind of questions are they asking? What are they trying to prove? His character or our intention to marry or what?

Mostly they were trying to make sure our relationship was real. They asked if he knew where he would be living in the U.S., How we met. What my job was. If I'd met his family. When we planned to marry - the date..was there a big wedding planned.. and if our families were attending. (they were not, we have planned a small formal elopement type thing just between the two of us.. our families knew about this - we prepared for all these questions and he was very honest with the answers). Asked if he'd met my family (he had not since he could not come to the U.S. on a tourist visa so he told them how he met them over skype) We are not the same religion and that is obvious so they asked how his family felt about this. Again, he was honest. Said they had concerns.. but wanted him to be happy. (They asked if he proposed to me and when (yes). If we'd an official engagement ceremony (no we had not). Again about religion asked what type of denomination our marriage would be - he explained non-denominational)

Basically they just want the real answers. They want to see that things had been thought out and that the marriage is real. I suppose it helped that the interviewer we got was so nice - I hope he gets a nice one again. He could see we were a real couple. it took only about 15 minutes and at the end he said "ok you got the visa" and then it was ready a few days later for pickup. - At least in India that is how it worked.

I can't make it this time.. but I think it's nice you will be there.. it shows you are a couple.

It's the weekend and a Holiday so Monday will be no news for us. Not until Tuesday when Memorial Day ends.

Wow I feel overlooked cause my NOA1 is July 5

You and me both! :(:(:(

But I looked and they are randomly working on all the applications received at the beginning of July. I am July 11th and I saw at least 45 approved for July 11th out of 250 I looked at.

Don't worry. You are not the only one. There are many of us. I am NOA 1 July 5th too. The processing is a little random for some reason. Maybe different people working in different files. I'm sure they will get to most of us in the next couple weeks.

Hi everyone. Another July filer here. :)

NOA1: July 25, 2016

NOA2: Nothing yet.

Little background of our relationship: Went to highschool together, attended College together (same course :3), and now have a child! We aren't married yet though. Relationship on-going for 8 years now. I am glad I found a forum for July filers. Good luck everyone!

I thought we would have been getting an RFE for sure, our application was not 100 pages long like many others stating on these forums. We hope everyone has a speedy NOA2.
