I am so late I don't know what I'm thinking I just need to check your timeline see this is what I'm saying I'm not functioning during this whole Visa Journey it's making me crazy and forgetful and I don't think very well I'll check for myself but thanks again congratulations

From what I understand, K1 applications are only processed at the California Service Center. When VJ users show "Texas and transferred to California" on their timelines, it's usually that they confused the drop box in Texas with the Texas service center. I believe on rare occasions an application will be transferred to another service center from California, but it seems to be when that application has been sitting at the CSC for a long time and they transfer it for quicker processing at another center. BUT, as I said, it seems to be rare when that happens. This is all info I have gathered after lurking on VJ for about 6 months haha! Good luck!!!

No there is no confusion on what drop box to mail. Instructions are clear. You are supposed to send the application where the USCIS tells you to send it. (It really depends where you live). Apparently CSC is the one that is processing most of the I-129F applications right now.

They decided where your application is adjudicated once they receive it.

Yes, 129Fs are sent to the drop box in Texas. I only meant that some VJ users confuse that drop box with the actual Texas Service Center when filling out their timeline. Sorry for the confusion.

You were absolutely right. Also, routed doesn't mean transferred.

Reality is that we don't work there so let's not jump to conclusions and confuse other people. We don't know their SOP's. Otherwise they need to get rid of that transfer option for all centers EXEPT for CSC based on what you are suggesting.

I too am visiting my fiance (but in the UK) in 17 days! We're also hoping we get our approval around that time so we can celebrate! My estimation is that first week of September (for a July 6th NOA1) but with a couple already approved, who knows!

Welcome to the July Filers forum!

Same here! I'm seeing my fiancé in 17 days too! I'm going to take my documents along, in case we get the NOA2 while I'm there which will make it that much sweeter.

July, we are on deck! All the best everyone!

Tasha, soon enough we will be hearing sweet words in person, every day. :)

I am planning to go to see my fiance once we are approved with NOA2, I don't want to risk any additional docs (RFE) and to be abroad not able to answer fast though I think I did well all the paperwork and we should be approved very soon. Me too, I will bring with me my Affidavit of support and all docs we need for the interview, hopefully I can stay maybe longer and to wait for my fiance passing the interview and maybe even travelling.

Lol, sweet words will be, lots of them in person, as we all, I can't wait. Got today my fiance photo with his baby and put it on my iPhone screen, first thing to see anytime I wake up or go to sleep and I need to have the baby image all the time with me to feel very close to her too

From what I have read here on VJ, Texas, Vermont, and California (and perhaps another one) used to be the service centers which processed K1 petitions, and at that time, where you lived determined which service center it would be routed to. This changed roughly a year ago so that now California handles most, if not all, K1 petitions. Transfers still happen apparently (which is why that was and remains to be an option in our timelines).

But stating the fact that all I-129F petitions are mailed to the Drop Box in Texas is hardly jumping to conclusions. Beyond that point, you're right, we don't work there... it's a seeming black hole into which our lives are thrown and we're at their mercy. Why most seem to go through with no issues while some are delayed, transferred, or completely lost will always remain a mystery to us.

I'm taking my documents with me as well so we can go over them in-person. I may have went a little overboard with color coded and notated tabs on each document, but I realize I'm a little ####### retentive lol. Thankfully, my habibi realizes it too and just lets me go crazy.

No way, there's so much paperwork, that's the way to go. Easy to quickly find everything. I will actually do the same, thanks for the idea! :)

We are July as week noa1 received with 5 days on the 21st of July. And just patiently waiting. This is so agonizing. Trying not to be a crazy person and check every day but we are in day 34 and it seems like average time is 45-50 days. I'm hope to get an approval mind of September.
