So we traveled on October 28th, and we have been busy with my brother's wedding all weekend, so I haven't had a chance to say anything about the POE. We both went through the immigrant line in the Houston airport. They took his packet, looked at his VISA and tickets then called for an escort. I was told to wait on some benches, and he was taken into a room with someone carrying his information. He was in there maybe twenty minutes, and I was just praying it would not turn into one of those horror stories. He said they just looked over his papers and took his fingerprints. Super easy!

How is everyone handling the money transferring? Just wondering if those whose fiance is already here has any advice as to what they did.

My fiance isn't here yet but we've sent money back and forth. Western Union is the best and safest way to send money.

I use Xoom, much friendlier and easy to use. Its been a while since I have used Western Union but I know it used to be more expensive than Xoom

Hey yall it's been a while since I left this forum .how you guys doing? I guess I missed out so much but it's ok..well gotta let you know guys my fiancé is with me since last Friday everything went good . Yall already know what next ..# WEDDING And a long life together. I HOPE everyone is in a good place right now with their process.im telling you guys it's a good feeling to be with the love of your life..

Going on 3 weeks at NVC and still no case number! Sometimes it feels like the waiting will never end.

I feel you Arih3!!! It took 28 days to get our case number from the NVC... it was worse than waiting for the NOA2 to come!!!! I was worried that USCIS lost it in a black hole!! Fingers crossed and toes crossed you hear soon!!!

I live in Texas near Houston so when my fiance comes this coming up month his POE will be Houston as well. Glad to know it went well.

9/18 Embassy received our approved k1 petition and emailed Packet 3 to us.

10/1 Mailed out Packet 3

10/3 Embassy Received Packet 3

10/4 Received Email from Embassy & Case # downloaded & ready to pay visa fee!

10/24 Interview

10/24 Visa Approved!

10/27 Visa Issued!

11/3 Visa in Hand!

12/7 Entry to Houston, Texas

Can't believe fiance's are entering the U.S.!! So exciting! I am really happy for everyone - congratulations! I hope those people waiting for NOA2s and NVC numbers make progress soon!

7/1 - mailed I-129

7/7 - NOA 1

8/29 - RFE

9/13 - Notice received RFE reply

9/19 - NOA 2

10/12 - Called NVC & Received Case Number, Case Ready at Embassy

10/17 - Received NVC Case Number Letter in mail

12/2 - Interview (Denial, 221g issued asking more relationship proof)

12/8 - Additional Proof Submitted

12/9 - 221g issued again asking for more relationship proof (same items they asked for previously)

12/16 - passport returned to fiance in mail with 2nd 221g letter

12/23 - Additional Proof Submitted

12/27, 12/28, 12/29 Date updated on case

1/5 Passport Status changed to "passport being processed for delivery" CEAC status still says "administrative processing"

1/9 Passport delivered to hometown with VISA ISSUED!! CEAC status still says "administrative processing"

1/26 POE Seattle

2/25 Married (CEAC status still says visa is in "administrative processing" - haha)

Medical and Interview scheduled today. We will have to go back in and hopefully push it back a bit further... just like the medical it seems that they don't let you schedule interviews too far out in advance. This one I can understand a bit more than the medical... it is still annoying to have to try and reschedule for the exact date we need!

At least we are in the system!!! HOORAY!

Finally our case was approved after receiving an RFE.

Quick question: TYPICALLY how long will it take from NOA 2 ---> interview? 2 months? 3 months?

I ask because my fiance and I are currently living/working in New Zealand, but we must leave the country on Jan 28 as thats when our visa expires, and very worried this wont all be done and dusted by then....

At this point i would check your regional discussion forum. The UK one has a progress thread with current schedules and dates. My NOA2 was Sept 15 and the interview is Nov 17.

I know your interview is coming up in a couple of weeks and that you were trying to get let in to attend the interview but had some issues with the form. Will you let me know if they let you in? Any other info on this so far?
