K-1 visa question

So if there is a RFE. Does application go back to end of the line? My fiancé visited me on tourist visa and we filled out application on last night of visit very quickly. I am hoping no omissions but possible

Did you already send it in? And you sent in everything else that goes along with the I-129f? The reason I ask is you talk as if you only filled out the I-129f form.

Your case is handled by different people and departments. If your case is complete and has no RFEs then you go through but if there are RFEs then your case is put on hold until you satisfy the RFEs. There is no way to expedite a normal K1 case. However if the cases is on hold for a long time for unknown reasons then you can approach your governor and request a status info. A normal K1 visa is issues within 4 to 7 months.

I got my noa1 January 8th 2016 and got my noa2 June 8th 2016 and I had an RFE and responded pretty late to it (but within the 90 period time frame) I was approved in exactly 5 months.

Now waiting to get to NVC and it will be almost 4 weeks it hasn't been received by NVC yet. California service center handles most k1 visa applications and usually is pretty fast but ofcourse there is no guarantee.

Then it all depends on how fast USCIS sends out your petition in bulk to NVC and when they receive it. Then gets sent to embassy and that's a whole different time frame for when they receive it and give you and actual interview date and how long to actually receive your visa in your passport.

the process takes about 4- 6 months as of 2016 , some rare cases some have been done even shorter than that ,no rfe and delays will def make it faster , just be prepared and research and ull be set

That's what it sounds like to me too. The whole package isn't anything you can do "quickly".

Depends on what kind of typo I guess. Yes, they are very thorough and you need to be as accurate as possible. You need to double and triple check your work.

Depends entirely on the typo.

Misspelled your name? Likely RFE. Wrong birthday? Likely RFE. Misspelled a street name on the G325A? Probably not a big deal.

Honestly though, if you do get an RFE, it won't stall you more than a couple of weeks if you reply promptly.
