I'm hoping to find someone who has been through the process successfully pertaining to disclosing criminal backgrounds in the K1 Visa petition. The only crimes I have on my record that are under the crimes they ask about in the i-129f petition is the drug and alcohol related crime That happened on three separate occasions. I have been told by an attorney but I do not need to file a waiver. And I do have other crimes that I know I need to disclose in the petition. I do not know how to disclose them. I don't know what to say or how to say it in the petition. has anyone had experience with this.

You only have to disclose the ones that are listed the form. As per the instructions, if you have answered "yes" to any of the questions concerning crimes you must add a separate sheet where you put the details - actual crime, date, sentence, etc.

Other crimes that are not listed on the form will be found by USCIS anyway when they run the background checks on you.

Is your fiancée aware of your past? Likely she will be asked about it at the interview.

Oh OK. Thank you so much for your answer. That helps me allot. I was so confused about if I need to request the imbra waiver for those crimes. I feel a little more confident now in how to do this. And yeah I've told her everything about my past.

I really appreciate your help.
