Kiev Embassy - bonafide relationship for K1

I know Kiev is easy. Now I wonder how easy.

So I have not made it back to see my fiance as much as I wanted before starting the I-129. My last long weekend wiped me out so much I resolved to only take longer trips. Work makes that very difficult even though my immediate boss is very supportive. I have had two long weekends with Irina. We communicate so much on Viber it does not feel like we have not seen each other since Valentine's weekend. Between now and the interview, I'll have one two week trip to meet the family etc.. Then I will come to the interview. Irina is half my age and stunning and has a 5 year old son. Kiev turned down the tourist visa I asked her to submit so we would have plenty of time together.

When I see her next month, I can probably have my name put on her lease and start paying it from the USA - will that help? Or hurt? Whatever - I am paying for it,

FYI (for those of you worried about the pathetic old man hot young women thing): she spends a lot of time with my friends A&Z and they tell me she is completely sincere. A works with a lot of Western guys and knows many of the scammers in his town and how they work. I am not worried from that perspective.

I put my I-134 information in the I-129 packet with a request to forward to the embassy. I am a high earner. Does that hurt or help?

Three questions:

1. Will the embassy make a decision based on the I-129 packet without considering the additional evidence we will bring to the interview?

2. If no - is two weeks including a trip to the village plus the interview enough additional evidence? Should I delay the interview to get in another trip?

3. How many inches of chat logs is enough? Isn't this a little ridiculous?

Thanks

Robert,

You do not state how long you have been seeing her? I am assuming you sent in the I-129F? You need to update your timeline so people know where in the process you are.

The requirement is that you have met in person within the last two years, beyond that it is all up to the CO at the embassy. The more time the better.

What you do financially is up to you.

They do not look at the I-134 until the interview. Sending it in the I-129F packet was unnecessary.

1) Depends on the embassy, folks have had interviews where nothing beyond the application and required documents was even looked at while others have been able to show additional evidence.

2) When is the interview, would need to know where in the process you are, update your timeline.

3) You don't need reams of chat logs, just excerpts here and there to show consistent communications.

Going to the interview is also very helpful to establish an ongoing relationship along with pictures with family, travel together, etc. Are you applying for a K2 for her son as well?

Good Luck

Follow the directions given, make sure you have paid all fees, provided required documents, prove having met within past two years and wait. Attending the interview is nice but not necessary. You will not be allowed into the room with your fiancee during the interview.

I did not attend the interview, my fiancee passed with flying colors and she arrived with very little problems. We have now been married over 10 years. Pretty simple stuff in retrospect but frustrating as all get out while you are waiting. Don't try to overwhelm them with copies of conversations, but just give them a sample. Provide a narrative of your relationship listing the dates met, time spent together. It is not necessary to make any other changes in financial aspects for her or you until later.

Mostly relax.
