Hello everyone,

Okay, so here is my story. My fiancee and her daughter went to St. Luke's for their medical in Manila. My fiancee medical went fine and she finished in one day and get her sealed envelope to take to the interview at the US embassy. Her daughter was given the TB skin test and she had to come back in 48 hours which she did. The results of the skin test was POSITIVE. The reaction site was 12mm. She she went for a chest X-ray and they finally got done around 7PM that night. My fiancee was given a copy of the x-ray, a record of immunization (her daughter got her shots; 6 of them;), she asked for the sealed envelope but the nurse said they they will send them to the US embassy and not to worry.

So my question is; Will this delay them from coming to the US?

Any information will be helpful, anybody went through the same thing?

Thanks.

By the way the interview is on July 7th 2016.

Nope, it won't delay anything. It is not unusual for SLEC to send the medical doc to USEM. It wasn't that long ago that all medical docs where sent directly to USEM.

Your fiancee and her daughter got the immunizations (DS-3025.. hang on to those as they are needed for AOS later) all is fine. Now to prepare for the interview, you can follow the flashing arrow below in my signature for details.

And don't forget CFO.

If you daughter was born outside of the US, and giving the BCG vaccination as a newborn it is very common and almost always going to yield a POSTIVE result with a skin TB. The next step is always an xray. It shouldn't hold anything up. It is very normal procedure. Good luck!

It use to be better to go to CFO before as it was difficult to get in, but now that they have the appointment system it really doesn't matter; go before the interview you have to return to get the sticker, go after the interview (with visa in hand) and it is a one stop event. Make sure to be prepared, there is info on CFO in the link below in my signature.
