I call nvc today and to find out if they assigned my son to a interview date and surprisingly I got one for September 28 am so excited

My husband called the nvc today,and asked if they got our packets already,and said they got it. Is that the scand date?

so i got the welcome letter via email today since i was able to fill out the ds-261 online last night. I just payed the aos fee online. i am going to give them until monday or tuesday to go over the form and then they can open the portal for me hopefully. i have everything ready to go.

Congrats to everyone who got good news today regarding their cases.

PS: on a side note, I am wondering whether my security clearance process is affecting this case somehow on a positive note? I mean i have security clearance that I am going through (somehow my guts say it is not).

You should call them to review your DS-261 over the phone... if you don't, it will take them 2 weeks to review it.

Yes, that is your scan date Now you just have to sit back, and wait patiently for your CC

I really want to call, but should I at least give them a chance to do that on their own like the guy told me? I mean i don't want to sound persistent. I feel like irritation tone in their voices when I speak to anyone. they are nice and all but still a bit irritated it seems.

The IV fee is usually unlocked 24hrs after the DS-261 is reviewed... and the DS-260 is unlocked when the IV fee appears as PAID. It's really up to you if you want to call or just wait for them to do it; I just feel like your time is being wasted by waiting for them.

True on the waiting part, I will call them tomorrow. I just gotta make sure I have enough in the bank before I make the next payment.

It can take 2-3 days for it to appear as paid.
