So I just called NVC to go over the DS-261 and they told me that until they send out the package (which could be 4 weeks or before that) they are not able to go over the DS-261 with me over the phone because their system hasn't have it yet.

So a question: how long should I wait then? or when should I expect the package? Did anyone else had to go through it?

So you haven't received a "welcome email" from NVC yet? If not, maybe tomorrow it will arrive. The fact that they have assigned you a case number & IIN already should mean that the email can't be very far behind.

My wife is from the Netherlands and her petition is already with NVC. Her scan date is 7/716. Can someone tell me how it takes for an interview date to be set up once the case is complete?

I hope so...because I was able to sign in to CEAC and fill out the DS-261 but I haven't received any welcome email yet. I will wait then.

Hi! It takes NVC 30-35 days to review the case and issue a case complete. And then it can take anywhere from 1-4wks after that to receive an interview date, depending on the availability of openings at your country's embassy. But they usually begin scheduling interviews at the last week of every month.

I don't know but someone else can confirm it but I believe it takes about a month or it depends on your consular office in that country where it is supposed to take place.

Hey guys,

My second scan date is 12th of July, I had to resend the I-864A form of my mother-in-law, couse she only put her sign in one of two places that the form needs. Should I wait till August 12th or I should give a call to NVC earlier?

Thanks :)

After a long delay due to Indian passport name change requirement to obtain the police clearance, we finally sent out the NVC package and got a scan date of 7/21/16. From what I seen the average is 30 days wait before you get a case complete. Hoping for a smooth process until the interview.

Completely agree with you. It happen to my brother in law as well. Luckily, it didn't cause a huge delay but still it was a fair bit of time for him (almost 10 days). Yes, 30 days seems to be normal. Good Luck!!

I suggest to just keep an eye out on CEAC for the 3rd N/A. But if you would rather call, I would give them 2wks to review it first. Hopefully you'll get your CC this time! :)

I thought there was only one signature require on I-864. I am getting nervous. I am looking at I-864 and I only see one space for sponsor's signature.

Thank You.

Those of who did not had to send the PCC to nvc how did u find out that you were not required to send it to the nvc?

We can call NVC and confirm it, but for India I believe you are required to get PCC.

I told I-864A not I-864.
