Hi, I'm seeing 3 NA's as of today on ceac after over a month of going back and forth about a checklist issue regarding my marriage certificat. Can I expect this to be good news? Do you think my issue has been resolved? *crying*

Sounds like case complete. Call to confirm with NVC ?

Yeah, not that much of a rush for me at this point, but thanks. Seems like maybe being married a longish (+5 years) time helps the case clear more quickly.

Yeah same here. I've been married for 7 and a half years and have two kids.

I have a question for anyone that can answer. I received this same email below on July 24th, 2016 and July 25, 2016:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 21-JUL-16. We are experiencing a high volume of incoming mail at this time. Please allow 30 days from the date we received your mail for the NVC to review your documents. We are diligently working to reduce our review time and appreciate your patience. The NVC will notify you after our review if there is additional information required or if we are able to schedule your case for an interview overseas.

Does this mean July 21, 2016 is my scan date? I called NVC today and the lady I spoke to could not specifically tell me what my scan date is. She said my scan date is the day my documents were delivered which is July 21 and to start counting up 6 weeks from then.

Thank you in advance.

Yes July 21st is your scan date. Generally it takes up to 30-35 days for case complete. Good luck!

Hello,

I have a question,a week later after I sent my documents, I received a Checklist stating that I needed to submit the DS261.

I submitted the DS261 on June 17th then sent my Financial and Civil Documents together. They received the packet on the 20th, then a call later, I found out they looked at my documents on the 21st. On the 27 I received a Checklist email stating that I need to complete DS261. I called and was told to ignore it since I had already completed it.

Now my question is, what is my scan date? Is it June 21st or 27th?

Thanks

Hello all -

I just called the NVC today to check status of our case since we our I-130 was approved June 20th. I was given our case number and invoice number over the phone, but was told it would take up to 4 weeks to receive instructions via mail/email regarding next steps. Do we have to wait this long or can we start the process now that I have a case number?

One small housekeeping item too: I want to make sure our timeline is correct here on VJ so that it provides accurate information. It asks for the date our case was received by the NVC. I have not received any notice other than an email update that my case was sent to the NVC on July 5th. Is this the date I should use on the timeline?

Thanks in advance for any advice/guidance!

EDIT: To note, we have all of our documents in order for the next steps so hopefully I don't have to wait :)

Log in and start filling out the DS-261, then call back for them to review it.

You would have to ask NVC when they received your case.

That notification isn't when they receive it its when USCIS sends to NVC.

They might have received it a few days after USCIS sent it but, its best to confirm with NVC.

You don't have to wait. Start filling DS-261 online and pay your AOS fee if available.

No. When you call NVC they usually say that they received your case on certain date from USCIS, that's the date.

Thanks in advance for any advice/guidance!
