According to the NVC website (https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/nvc/immigrant-processing-faqs.html) you must contact NVC in writing if you no longer want to be represented by your current attorney. I'm not sure how long this can delay your case though. You can always call NVC and ask ;)

Scan date of 06/16 and no CC yet. It's really depressing. I'm the petitioner. I'm living overseas with my wife. I want to come home to the US so badly. I feel like I can't really get started with my life until I'm back. I'm working at a job but my career is not advancing, stuff like that. Any time I think about "oh, I'd like to be able to do whatever" I realize it makes no sense to start until I'm back. Like, take an art class or something. It's just not possible in this country.

I've been living overseas for four years. The only good thing that's come out of it is that I met my wife. I hope I can be home before Thanksgiving.

my scan date is 6/17 and no CC and still waiting

The guy on the phone said the marriage certificate, which I know we did send. My attorney had written me and said that they'd be scheduling the interview soon, so I thought that must mean case complete. He said that he got an e-mail sayng they needed the W2 form from our joint sponsor, but I could take it to the interview. The guy on the phone said that I need to send them the marriage certificate and that there were other documents which could be taken to the interview. So I'm pretty confused and frustrated I don't have a copy of the letter to know what it says. I've asked my attorney to forward it to me. They said they also sent a copy to my wife directly so I'll ask her when I get home. She's been home sick though, she's probably sleeping.

Attorney just forwarded the letter from NVC. It says "While we will schedule your case for an interview, either your Affidavit of Support was incomplete, some of your supporting documents were missing, or both. This could affect the Consular Officer's ability to make a decision on your case."

And then it says

"If we are missing required supporting documents:
- Send the missing documents to the principal applicant so he or she can take them to the visa
interview. Do not send the documents to the NVC."

My attorney also says we don't need to send anything. So, I don't know what this means. I guess that's case complete at NVC? I don't have 3 N/As right now. If they are saying that they are scheduling the case for interview and not to send any documents to the NVC that sounds good I guess.
