I would wait until after 30 days to call NVC about your case; I don't think calling is going to make the process any faster, but at the same time it won't hurt either. So really it's up to you. ;) I just check the CEAC website daily.

The browser I use is Safari, and the CEAC website works perfectly fine for me. Are you sure you're putting in the correct case number and IIN?

Hi all. Two questions. First, what do you mean by scan date? Is that the date NVC says they received your documents? Second, is it possible to be checklisted more than once? Just wondering if they review all the documents when they first receive them and just ask for what's missing or incorrect. Or do they just skim through the documents to see if anything is missing and do a thorough review when they receive all documents and then maybe request additional info? I know it's impossible to figure out the government but I'm going out of my mind waiting....

Received email May 12 saying documents were received May 9.

Received email June11 for checklist: 2 missing documents.

Received email June 19 saying documents were received June 16, please allow 30 days.

So... we're coming up on 30 days and I'm so anxious. Don't want to get another email requesting more info and have to wait an additional 30 days. Just wondering if the missing documents I submitted would be the only concern or they might request info related to anything else? Will my case finally be completed!!(just thinking out loud) I'm checking for 3 N/As daily!!!!!! I want to go visit my husband but kind of waiting/hoping we will hear something soon from NVC first.

What you sent in could still be incorrect. Just wondering if they review all the documents when they first receive them and just ask for what's missing or incorrect. Yes Or do they just skim through the documents to see if anything is missing and do a thorough review when they receive all documents and then maybe request additional info? I believe they go through your entire packet and issue the checklist for everything that's missing or incorrect. I know it's impossible to figure out the government but I'm going out of my mind waiting....

I received my case # and ID # tonight over the phone I went in the forms portal and filled out the DS-261 as it was available online. Did I do that to fast? Was I to wait for an email? I saw where the bills were for the AOS and IV but they said not invoiced yet. Was it okay to do it this way?

No you don't have to wait for email. You might get your AOS fee invoiced tomorrow. Mine was unlocked next day after filling DS-261. I would suggest you to call NVC and review you DS-261 over phone, so your IV fee gets unlocked soon.
