LinJoe, I'm 99.99% sure that the visa foil is NOT printed until after the final interview. These foils are serially numbered and will be printed under controlled circumstances (so that a foil cannot "accidently" be placed into someone's pocket).

That's why some people see "Ready" - "AP" - "Issued" as their status after the interview. The "AP" status is the status between the end of the interview and before the foil is printed. Sometimes more investigation is necessary - and sometimes it is just the "time on hold" between the interview and the print!

Sukie in NY

I agree, I was just saying that I think it's printed the same day or it's ready to print immediately because our case went from "Ready" straight to "Issued." there was no AP status. I was checking every 30 minutes after his interview was finished.

Is it possible that the nvc issue interview date over the weekend or is just the last week of each month ?

Wow, really. So you received visa the same day? That'd be super fast.

Be confident that everything will work out in your favor. If NVC didn't come back and tell you that you have to provide more financial things that Mumbai consulate probably won't either. If you've proved you're sponsor is 125% above the poverty guidelines then you're good. Have all your paperwork organized in the order they mention in the P4 so you know exactly where each document is when they ask for it. I used an Accordion file and labeled each section so it was super easy for my husband. you've made it this far....Monday will a day of celebration for you. Claim it!

great point I agree with you on this topic

Does anyone know can you take a binder inside the embassy it just makes it easier for paper work ?

(See attachments) How to edit your VJ signature (this will show whatever you want at the bottom of every post you've ever made and will make). You can put your ticker in your signature, or you can type up your timeline in it.

thank you so much wow it helps I didnt know but thank you

so it is possible to receive a visa the same day

No, we got it 2 business days later. I was saying I think they print it the same day because our case status changed to "Issued" the same day as the interview. My husband's interview was on a Friday. it changed to "Issued" a few hours after his interview. I think it takes them a day to attach it to the passport and DHL it to the pickup location because he was notified on Tuesday that it was ready for pick up.

It seems like they up the poverty guidelines to 150% now, idk what to made of it, they might just be looking into my background more who knows with these ppl
