Right after NVC told me my sched, I called Manila Embassy for an earlier appointment for interview. They gave me one with no questions asked. But I'm from Philippines so I wouldn't know for your country Sameer. Be hopeful and just try now. Wouldn't hurt

My file is still at NVC according to ceac

Well, I was stuck in Uscis and NVC for quite too long so it was really refreshing not having to wait so long again lol.

Hopefully, when your embassy receives your case you can sched for earlier. Good luck!

When you interview what happens to the DS-230, police certificates, and copies of documents like birth certificate, marriage certificate? My wife interviewed and was temporarily denied, but they only thing the want her to bring back is passport and an I864 with a sponsor. The officer did not take or even look at her DS-230 or police certificate, even though they emailed instructions to have all those things.

If they don't take our DS-230, how can we update the address where the green card is sent to in the USA?

DS-230? That's been obsolete for 3 years. The DS-260 is submitted online. If there are any corrects (address) you correct at the interview and also at POE to verify that's what my husband had to do this week was update the address.

The Police certificate they keep. Birth certificate and marriage license if not given back at interview they will have in your Visa package.

Dud you do Direct Filing at Embassy? Not sure exactly what you all are doing here.

I filed normally but expedited after case complete to get the interview faster. I'm the petitioner and am here will all the intending immgrants, so they would not accept my I864 and asked for co-sponsor. All they've asked for when I send to documents to the embassy is an I864 from co-sponsor and passports.

The reason I filled a DS-230 and provided copies of all the birth certificates, marriage certificates, etc is because the embassy sent me a PDF with the booking instructions to fill it out and bring to the interview. I'm thinking because my case is a cross between a normal case and consular filling I was asked for many things they already have.

When I send the docs back to them I will give them the police certificates again, if they don't need them they can throw them out, I don't need them.
