I just called NVC and they don't have interview for me yet. The operator said that my case isn't on the list for interview yet since it's on a final review. Is that bad? :( Help

Did you receive the case complete email?

Nope not yet! But they confirmed my case was complete 4 times!! :o Now I just called again and the operator said your case is complete but a supervisor will review it to have it fully complete? Wth!?

Timeline:

I still never got case complete. I got a checklist but they said to bring the documents to the interview. They said "While we will schedule your case for an interview, either your Affidavit of Support was incomplete, some of your supporting documents were missing, or both. This could affect the Consular Officer's ability to make a decision on your case."

Got that message one week ago.

I wonder when I should start checking if I have an interview date?

I called this morning and our interview has been scheduled at Mumbai consulate in India.

Interview is on September 6th. Our CC was on 07/19

Congrats!!

I am hoping to get CC next week and interview in late September.

I still never got case complete. I got a checklist but they said to bring the documents to the interview. They said "While we will schedule your case for an interview, either your Affidavit of Support was incomplete, some of your supporting documents were missing, or both. You can try calling today and see if they have an interview scheduled for you, especially since you have already received your "case complete with checklist" email.

Dont worry give them up to a week. I have read some people saying they got supervisor review but soon after that it was CC. I am guessing it is because your review took only 3days.

It's better to have case complete and have to bring additional documents to interview, than to not have case complete and have to send in the additional documents and possibly wait 30 days for review again... stay positive! :)

Have you tried to call NVC and ask to speak to a supervisor?? Maybe that can shed some light on your situation.

No I haven't talked to a supervisor. I'm a mess right now :( How do I get a supervisor?

I've never had to to talk to a supervisor, but I think you can just call and ask the rep if you can talk to one.

And maybe Kikk is right... maybe they sent your case to a supervisor to double check everything because it was reviewed so quickly.

Hi Folks,

I have a quick question. What status does the case go into after it leaves AP and before you receive the call from the consulate?

Is there anything like "Approved" or it just goes back to "Ready"?

Over the past 1 week there have been about 4 status updated dates, today being the most recent. Basically since Friday last week so I think there is action on the case.

Just wondering what status to expect even before they call my wife.
