Hello VJ family!

I just got out from an interview and the visa is Approved!!!

Yaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!

Thank you for all of you who helped me going through this!

Case complete:6/2

Interview date:7/25

For someone who will have an interview in Japan, you will receive an email from Tokyo IV with Request for Additional Documents.

You have to bring everything which stated on that email and also Required Visa Interview Documents from NVC.

Interview date:7/25

For someone who will have an interview in Japan, you will receive an email from Tokyo IV with Request for Additional Documents.

You have to bring everything which stated on that email and also Required Visa Interview Documents from NVC.

My visa application status shows that it's still in NVC. When should I expect them to send it to the embassy? I got case complete on July 21st.

Timeline:

USCIS STAGE:

*I130 sent: 01/04/16

*Noa1: 02/02/16

*Noa2: 06/01/16

NVC STAGE:

*NVC received case: 06/20/16

*NVC case number given: 07/05/16

*Invoice given: 07/05/16

*AOS invoiced: 07/06/16

*AOS paid: 07/06/16

*Submitted DS-261: 07/08/16

*Sent AOS and IV packages: 07/12/16

*Receive IV fee: 07/12/16

*Pay IV fee: 07/12/16

*DS-260 received:07/15/16

*Submit DS-260: 07/15/16

*Scan Date: 07/18/16

♥CASE COMPLETE♥: 7/27/16

From Scan date to CC: 9 days

Interview Date Assigned: 08/08/16

INTERVIEW : 09/09/16

Congratulations to all those who have been approved and those getting their interview dates, good luck!! I'm about to fly off to Sydney for my interview tomorrow...talk about freaking out, keep checking and re-checking to make sure I have everything. Will let you know how I go :unsure:

Spent the last 2.5 years travelling between countries & deciding on where we are going to live...USA IT IS!!! ??
28/09/2015 - I-130 submitted
06/10/2015 - NOA 1 received
04/02/2016 - Approved! NOA 2 received via text
17/02/2016 - Petition sent to NVC
24/02/2016 - NVC received
08/03/2016 - Case number & IIN number received over the phone
09/03/2016 - Form DS-261 completed
09/03/2016 - AOS Fee paid
18/03/2016 - Received and paid IV Bill
22/03/2016 - Sent AOS & IV Documents
24/03/2016 - Scan date
08/04/2016 - Received RFE - apparently I didn't send I-864 form (as if I would forget that!) and police certificate (admittedly I sent the wrong one?)
18/04/2016 - Resent required documents (had to wait a week for new police certificate)
20/04/2016 - 2nd scan date for RFE documents
09/05/2016 - Case Completed ? (Now just waiting for interview date!!!)
26/05/2016 - Received Interview letter via email, interview scheduled for 26/07/2016 ??

Congrats to everyone who has moved forward with their case! These are exciting times... Been lurking since I got my interview date. It feels like this month went by so fast, my medical is this week, Hubby comes to visit for our anniversary and then leaves right before my interview in 3 weeks.... Having him around will surely help to pass the time! Wishing everyone all the best

@MrsBurgz you should def be getting your date this week!!!

@Brina, I know you're looking foward to your interview on Thursday....

Im looking forward to hearing the good news from you two and everyone else.

    6/7/2016 Didn’t get case number so case went to supervisor look *****(new time frame is 2 weeks to get your case and invoice number form NVC.)

    6/9/2016 Case Number and Invoice number received

    6/10/2016 Form DS-261 Received

    6/10/2016 Form DS-261 Sent

    6/14/2016 AOS BILL INVOICED

    6/14/2016 AOS BILL PAID

    6/16/2016 IV BILL Assigned

    6/17/2016 IV BILL PAID

    6/17/2016 IV and AOS packet arrived at NVC

    6/17/2016 Scan Date

    6/20/2016 DS-260 SENT

    6/22/2016 Confirmation that they received the packet

It will show that until your case is sent to the embassy which is a few weeks before your schedule interview. So once you get your scheduled interview it will still show" at nvc" then the next update a few weeks before your interview will be in transit then ready
