I am hoping InshAllah he gets approved right away too so we can finally be together. The whole process is just frustrating because for a long time we didn't even know when our priority date would be current and when we would get out of the black hole (Vermont service center) lol. Thank you so much. No we're not staying together unfortunately. My husband has not seen our new born yet. I am a full-time DNP student and a practicing PA so its hard for me to travel. My studies are the reason we don't live together. We've been married for 5 years now MashAllah but we've only spent 4 months at a time together each year whenever I have a break from school. My rotations are crazy so I never know where I am going to be placed. My husband missed both of the pregnancies and our kids birth which was very upsetting had to do it alone twice :( .

OMGGGG that is soooo stressful. I am hoping for the best for you and your husband. I cant imagine being this close and then putting the case on hold. InshAllah you will get through it. I will keep you in my prayers. Hang in there you'll get through this.

You're story made me tear up because I know how difficult it is and yours is just so much more with having two kids and being a student and everything else. I can totally relate in the aspect of not being able to travel but for me it's because of work :( I haven't seen my husband in person for over a year. Sometimes I don't believe it's been that long. I can't believe your husband had to miss both births of your children and that you had to go through it alone. I can't even imagine. You are so strong to be able to handle that. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry. MashAllah you've been married for 5 years and still going strong! InshAllah this is it and he will get the approval and you can put this whole long distance marriage thing behind you lol

It's so sad that we all must go through this hard process to be with our loved ones. I try and think positively and in my eyes this hardship makes for a loving beautiful strong marriage.

Yeah it's been beyond stressful, sometimes I don't even know how to deal with it. My life is so busy and I work 12 hour days and it's just exhausting carrying this stress around but reading stories like yours gives me hope and makes me stronger because it reminds me that people go through even harder hardships than I and yet they have made it through. Thank you so much for your prayers and support. I will keep your family in my prayers as well and pray for your husband's approval!

Writing up some better instructions to track green card. a those who got theirs and tracked is this still true? Amazing how there's nothing absolutely nothing out there on website nothing like what the heck.

How to track your green card after you have paid the $165 fee.

  1. When you go to your account on USCIS Elis, https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/
  2. Look below where it says CASE SUMMARY. What does the Case Received Date has?
  3. If the date is similar to the date you paid your Immigration fees (165$), it means that your file has not been transferred from your POE to the USCIS office. At this stage, even if you call USCIS, the agents will not be able to tell you anything about your case because they don't have access to your file until it is transferred to them.
  4. When your case/file is received your status moves from ACCEPTED to OPTIMIZED at the Case lifecycle level. Then your card is produced.
  5. After production of your card, the case status will read CLOSED, meaning you no longer have a pending case with USCIS. If you check your status with your receipt ID, you will see a message with a tracking number to track delivery of your GC with USPS.

I understand your struggle completely! It is so hard being away from your respective partner. It's harder to take off of work to go see your husband I bet. I feel soooo bad that you have to put your case on hold. They should have better arrangements if the American embassy is not available in your husbands country. If they decided to send his case to morocco then it should be made easier for him to receive his visa to Morocco. Ugh I wish this process was easy breezy. I'm lucky to have found this forum where we can share our experiences and we understand each other. When I try explaining this process to someone who has not gone through it I feel like pulling my hair out. Whenever I'm at a family gathering all I hear is why isn't your husband here yet he should be here by now why haven't you done anything about it. And I just want to scream and say I'm not purposely keeping him away from me. Lol. Even people in Pakistan will ask my husband damn you're still here I thought you left. Lmao. That gets annoying too. And whenever I visit I always have my family telling me take him with you this time and in my heart I'm like inshallah but that day has not come yet. ? But I'm hanging in there were at home stretch and I am praying to Allah to make this journey easy for us. Inshallah we will get approved. I just hope that we don't get put into AP review. Thank you for keeping me and my family in your prayers. Please hang in there inshallah everything will work out. It's so worth it in the end. Once your husband get his visa for Morocco it's going to be smooth sailing inshallah.

And things are unpredictable with USCIS.\

I got my tracking # by calling uscis after card was already sent with usps and yesterday status changed on my uscis case tracker application in my phone adding the tracking number and I received the card 2 weeks ago lol, insane.

USCIS CASE TRACKER APP ( ( if you dont have it, download it in your phone and you can add as many receipt # as you want) I used it since I-130

Good Luck to everyone ~~
