Good lord I swear Immigration (DHS) and social security need yo get it together. You check the box to say yes you want Social Security card sent and nothing happens.

Just went to SS office with hubby. And nope he isn't in the system and they need to verify his identity with immigration 4 to 6 weeks she says give it time. Seriously. Goodness

Dwheels my POE was april/15 and I got the social and green card at the same time june/29.

I went to the Social Security Office on May/17 and they told me I wasnt in the system so I applied for ssn as new applicant they told me to wait 4 to 6 weeks. Got the ss card 6 weeks after.

Our system is so messed up, I hope ur husband get his before those 4 weeks.

Sweet Lord you going to make me cuss. :ranting::protest: . See that there is ridiculous. My husband asked why can't you just be assigned your card# at POE. Get official letter and card can come later but you have your number. (sounds to much like right).

They know we just want to get to work, get bank accounts ummmm get on with life. Some jobs people need the actual hard copy green card. Well glad you finally got yours but 6 weeks later please Lord NO.
