Same as mine, which is confusing, tbh. I thought they'd have scheduled them the same day.

All F2b? Submitted from the same petitioner?

Kinda nervous cuz my brother isn't as informed as I am - and he's never been to the states and he kinda caves under pressure and I cant go with him.. he's not a kid, but, big sister mode kicks in around him a lot, lol!

How'd your interview go?

How'd your interview go?

Hey, my sister's and I are all F1 and yes, same Petitioner. I posted my report of my Interview in the F1 thread. All in all, the worst part was the waiting, the interview was easy. :)

Okay, went and copied my review,  here you go.....

So, i am back with the details of how my journey went today.

I had a 8:00 appointment and arrived at 7:30, there are two lines, to my fellow Jamaicans please ask the police officer which line you should join, passport, photo and appointment letter are then asked for to be checked and then you proceed to go through Security. FYI, there are a host of things you cannot take into the Embassy (including makeup, flash drives, cellphones etc.), so don't bring a lot of stuff when you go there.

I then got a number and a form to fill out for DHL registration, but I had already done that online so I proceeded inside to the area for Immigrant Visa Applicants. Let me just tell you I was nervous as he'll! It seemed like I was there waiting and waiting forever! lol. Anyway, my number was called and I went to the window and was asked to hand in certain documents and my finger prints were scanned. The lady then told me to have a seat and listen for my name to be called. While waiting I was paying attention to what was going on, FYI, it doesn't help your case to keep saying 'i don't know' to the Consular Officer! That's all I heard coming from this one man, he didn't even know his Mother's date of birth! lol, the CO was not impressed at all!

Anyway, by 10:00am my name was called and I went to the window for my Interview (still nervous I might add). The CO was a Chinese male and he was basically straight forward, he gave no eye contact, not even a smile, he asked me to swear to tell the whole truth thing and took my fingerprints again. The questions I got where.....

1.   Who is the Petitioner?

2.   What is she to you?

3.   Where does she live?

4.   How long has she lived in the U.S.?

5.   What does she do?

6.   Have I ever been charged with a crime?

7.   He also tried to trick me with a question, but it was a good thing I was actually listening to him

No request for updated W2's or I-864, all in all the worst part of the experience was the waiting, the interview was a breeze and over before I knew it. He then said everything looked okay, that my visa was approved and I could expect to have it back within a week. What I was curious about though was that the lady who I submitted my documents to told me my medical hadn't arrived as yet, but at no time did  the CO indicate that to me, so I'll wait and see if I do get my passport back within the week time frame that was given. My status is at Administrative Processing now.

No more watching for the Visa Bulletin to see when i will be current or waiting for correspondence from NVC! God is good and I am happy, happy, happy!

To everyone else waiting, hanging in there, your time is gonna come :)

This sounds like a breeze! And if I can ask, what was the trick question?

Did you have to hand in the petitioners naturalization certificate/passport?

We did our medical's last week Wednesday, less than 2 weeks before our interview date, they did assure me that it would at the embassy on time.

I did get my brother's interview changed to the same day as mine, I was instructed to bring the email with the confirmation as proof. I have everything they asked for, except two. I'm just cautious about admin processing.. sigh.

Also, I'm still down for all of us to go have a beer once we're all stateside and settled :)

The CO asked me, who is the Petitioner and what does she do.....I replied, the Petitioner is my Mother but she is now retired. So he then asked two other questions and then asked me what relation my co sponsor is to me and I said my sister and then he said, didn't you say she was retired? I said no, I said my Mother is the person who is retired. But it was a good thing I was listening keenly to him because at no time was he looking at me and he was asking the questions rapidly, wasn't a smiler at all.....lol

They didn't ask for a copy of my Mother's Naturalization Certificate and don't worry about Administrative Processing, I had my Interview in May 1 and early in the morning on May 2 it changed  to ISSUED.

Good luck!  as Lain told me, it's already  a done deal :), you're just putting the final touch on this long process. :)

My advice is better be nervous for 1 day, just before interview(while you will prepare your docs), instead of 2 weeks, then on your interview day wake up calm, nice and smiling, cause all will be well;)
