It's been more than a month and I have not heard yet from the NVC. We sent our documents on July 11, 2016 and they were received by NVC on July 15, 2016. And my priority date will be current next month based on the September visa bulletin.

Don't count calendar weeks. The NVC uses business days, ie. M-F. They received my documents July 18 and told me to wait 30 for follow-up (below.) For me, I *technically* won't get any info until After aug. 29 at least. But, if you're anxious, calling them won't hurt.

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 18­JUL­16. We are experiencing a high volume of incoming mail at this time. Please allow 30 days from the date we received your mail for the NVC to review your documents.

Visa bulletin for August is up to January 8 so you arn't actually current. Your PD has to be after before the listed date, and also because its a first come first serve basis sometimes you don't meet the quota my dear but chin up because you are very close.....give it till months end

I just got an email from NVC that we're missing information in my docs. Which is weird, since I literally went over every piece of info that they had asked for.

Too late to contact anyone now, I'll do that in the morning.

I got one of those too a few mnths ago but they told me i should bring it to the local embassy when doing the intetview

They misplace documents many times, They have sent me query on PCC, saying that it's not valid one, another agent said, we haven't received it. I re-submitted same PCC once again and after reviewing(~45 days) they accepted it.

I know, its aggravating! I had asked my moms to PLEASE note our case number on EVERY PAGE and she's like, no, it's fine. So, I'm going to resubmit. And write the darn case number on each page.

Funnily, it was the affidavit of support and the tax returns.

Which were all PINNED together with a paper clip. The same docs for me and my bro. LOL!

They say case on hold until docs are received. Good thing is we did two packages, one to keep and one to mail, so Imma just ask my moms to send them back in come Monday.

Just to clarify, the affidavit of support and the supporting documents were the ones that got lost by the NVC?

It took less than 30 days for the NVC to review your documents. Is your priority date already current?

The affidavit of support, I-864 and the tax returns were the only items missing.

Which I can't understand, since they were both in the same package with everything: police certificate, birth certificate, pictures, etc.

They received my documents on July 18. I got the email at midnight Aug 20. PD is Oct2010.
