what is this welcome letter? i know only about Case complete letter.

Is your case already complete as F1? You should clarify that with NVC. 

I think, that your PD might be current in June VB, as it expect to move forward by 2 months for F1.

Yes, it supposed to be like that, but in my case was different (i'm F1 and PD 12Oct2009) the 2nd chart didn't move for a very long time, it was showing 1Oct2009. In August VB, which was released in July finally it moved, then I started to check CEAC every day if my case is open, till I finally could login and start the process and after I did that, on the 4th of August I received a WL by email and then August VB moved, that left 1 month before my PD got current.

So, you'll be able to start your process only after the 2nd chart will move, hopefully it'll be next month. NVC is backlogged and out of the timeframe that's what I've been told when I called them.

Welcome letter is an email u get when your PD soon become current. You pay aos bill, choose agent, pay interview bill, fill out ds260 form and send them financial and supporting documents to nvc

Unfortunately I forgot to ask it, as I was around 1 hour on waiting. I just double checked my mail and email address with them and became sure they did not send me anything by now. Did you talk with them! Pls ask them about it if you did not yet

HI everyone, i just joined the group. i just fired my lawyer and need all the help/advice i can get with my case. my priority date id AUGUST 2010 and my case is still not complete at NVC. so this is what happened... an immigration lawyer has been working on my case, i don't no anything about this immigration thing and tbh been so busy  to follow up on anything. i recently found out about the monthly visa bulletin and saw that my case will be current next month. i called my lawyer to as for my case status and she told me to be patient that she hasnt heard anything yet. asked for my case number at nvc and she said she hasnt received any case number from them. i called nvc, got my case number and invoice id and fired my lawyer.  i have paid all the fees and am collecting documents to submit next. i have a few question below

1. how long did it take after submitting documents to have a case complete at nvc.

2, i am on F2B still single but i have a 3 month old whom i wish to migrate with. what should i do to add him ?

dont worry about it, the fact that they requested all that info from you means it is being processed.... if your pd had changed they would have informed you

If all the documents are in tact then  case completion will take a month.  

As for adding your son, you should contact NVC   and let them know you want to add him.  Make sure he has a passport because you gonna have to send a copy of the (biodata page) photo page. Contact them via Ask NVC.

just attach the scanned copies of your son's birth certificate and biodata page of his passport in the email

Hey guys, I have a question......

 

My co workers passport with visa was delivered to him today by DHL and he was surprised that the visa would expire on 21st March, 2017, giving him a short time to get his affairs in order. Is this the standard time frame or does it differ for individuals and country?

Yes it differ because my sister coworker gets 2 months while his son get 4 months to leave

Okay then......cause last year my sister in law, my brother and their two nieces got 6 months, so that was the time frame I thought was the standard.

From what i have heard they start counting from the day you did your interview at the embassy, some people go on on AP for a long time so by the time they get the passport back all that time has been lost. I went on a few sites querying same and its an approximate six month visa.
