HI guys, So my brother's PD is aug. 20th 2012 for f2b case, when do you guys think his case will be completed and when should we contact the NVC. We have changed the phone number should we email them to update the contact number or not. Any thought would be appreciated.

yes you should update info at nvc, and he has about 2 yrs before his date become current. about 6 mth to a year before such time nvc will contact him with the necessary information to proceed. So he might hear from them  this yr. continue to check visa bulletin. good luck

I dont remember wether i updated my interview appointment.It is scheduled for "Feb 06,2017".I have also made a medical appointment for Feb 3.Pray for me.

Hello everyone one I have bad news ?janaury 2 I was about sent my opt out latter that time my dad called me and said nvc sent back our all original documents for f2b and it's said this case is no more viled for d2b catagorey . Our online status everything inviled and they said we have to do again online application for f1 and we have to sent all original documents. Is that only happen to me ? They don't left way for opt out while my priority date for f2b is 8 novembar 2010. Now I have to go back one year back .its seems totallly unfair for me .lots of people did opt out before 3 month to priortiy datw to be current I have 6 month but ... this new year is not for me. Best of luck every one I don't want any one get back there file from nvc st list u get a chance for opt out. And we spoke to a lower he said when nvc sent ur original file back that's mean no way for opt out u have to go for f1 . I'm just break down?

I know the low and opt out process but the lower said nvc sent back the original file of f2b so it's not viled any more and I can't do opt out.thank you

I am really sorry to hear I know you must feel devastated......however you have to move forward as quickly as possible so that you can recaptured your priority date. So do exactly what they have asked let your dad resend the docs to nvc remember it could be worst!. It seems long but one year will go by trust me, you have waited this long you can do another year, I have faith in your strength. If you wallow in your disappointment it will only hurt you more.  We are here to support you with your questions we will try to assist as much as we can. Khadija you will get your green card eventually, do exactly as they ask, tell your dad to go ahead and resubmit the documents.

Thank you so much , you know thexactly sad thing is what happen to me pexpletives say it's rare like my dad became citigen last February and then nvc ask requestions for evidence and financial documents .and now my dad trying to contact nvc to know the case status and meanwhile I prepared evrythi5 for opt out but all off sudden they return our original file without any hints . I was hoping if do opt out everything will be fine becoz lots people getting benefit  form opt out but alas! I don't get the chnce to use they oprtunity . F1 are moving faster pace than F2B, it's been 4 months F2B moving 1 month or less. My is July 21 and still doubt if I will get IL on march. feb VB will move July 8, 1 month movement.
