My husband applied to renew his 3rd EAD since still no sign of a green card after 23 months, on April 13th, his current EAD will expire on July 9th. We are kind of concerned b/c we know without it he cannot continue to work. Can they not issue an emergency one?

Get an appointmwnt at your local office to stamp passport for extension. Go to Uscis.gov to do it online. Bring all your evidence docs. They may not ask for it but good to have.

You are mistaken. The OP doesn't have a green card so an I-551 passport stamp is not possible in this situation.

OP, you should have filed for renewal EAD and AP documents 120 days before your current documents were set to expire. You can file now, but it will be around 90 days until you receive them.

He could have applied up to 120 days before it expires. Why did he cut it so close? He will not be able to work after the current one expires until he gets the new one. I'm not sure if they can expedite it in this situation.

I guess we thought since it's his 3rd work permit it would be quick like the other times.

Question, our 2nd anniversary was June 1st whenever they decide to send us for an interview for his green card, would he qualify for his 10 year gc or no?

If he hadn't already been approved by June 1st, when he is approved he will become a non-conditional permanent resident with a 10-year card.
