Hello

hope someone has an answer for me.

I already have our appointment for the interview scheduled. My question is, will my fiance receive a document from the Cuban Embassy explaining where and what time we should be there? how does the embassy know that his appointment is on that specific date. I've read all the reviews to be there as early as possible in the park to receive a number all that stuff.

I'm just concerned whether he will receive any sort of document prior to the interview from the Embassy itself.

I already have all the documents he needs to bring as I will be there myself for support.

if you can please guide me it would be very appreciated.

Hi , my husband (fiancé then) and I went through the K1 visa process . The Embassy did not send us anything. I had to call to the NVC to get his case number. I also had to get the appointment without getting any notification. the date of the interview , we took a lot of printed email, photos, phone calls and even bank statement. we also took affidavit form I-134 that is the one used for K1 visas . I went to the interview with my husband because I know that we couldn't trust in the embassy , and they were going to try to make our lives miserable. The date of the interview, we defended our case, and the vise consul said that we were approved , but he need the affidavit Form I-864. I thought that it was strange because that is not the one used for the k visas. However, we were okay with that because he said that we were approved. They gave my husband a pass to come back with the form I-864. 10 days after that my husband took the form to the embassy. they told him that they were going to call him within 10 days. However, they never did it. I started to send a lot of email to embassy asking for ours case. They always said the same ####### "they were working on it" . On Friday August 20, 2015 , I sent a email asking for our case and telling the consul that I wanted to know if the embassy was going to respect my rights as US citizen . well, the thing is that by August 25, 2015 my husband had his K1 visa on his hands. He is now with me in the United States, and we are so happy .

my advise is : do not trust the US embassy in havana, cuba . They are going to try to make your life miserable. they do over there whatever the hell they want unless you defend yourself. Good Luck with that

thanks

i appreciate the advice.

i did all the paperwork on my own as well, by reading all the blogs and advice from others and looking at videos. I was just wondering about that document but if its not necessary its fine. We will arrive very early and make the line and wait.

what about the questions... I know they ask basic questions about each other and I'm not concerned with because after numerous emails, calls and travels back and forth we know and love each other well enough.

what other questions can they ask. Did they interview you separately as well?

all this really helps others that are not aware of the process.

thanks

They are going to interview you separately . They are going to make the same kind of questions in different ways to try to find out if you are saying the true or not. In addition, they are even going to ask about your families, exact dates, and stuff that you like to do together. They are going to say wrong dates to check if the dates you have told are true. they want to know if the relationship is bona fide. however, they are not always nice, and like I said before. they will try to make your life miserable if you allow them to do so . many people do realize that they are really working for us, and we have the right to complain about everything. do not let them do whatever they want like a friend of me who went through the process with his girlfriend, but they denied her just because they wanted. he did not say anything , and he allowed that to happen when he could've complain about that before they closed the case. anyways good luck . it wont be easy ok
