I wondered why it was so slow then I realized, I bet all the Government workers have Friday off.

You lost the bet. Only Monday the 4th is a Federal Holiday. If a lot of Federal employees were off today it is because they were using their personal leave.

OK I am officially envious now. How long did you suckle on the government teat ?

I worked for the IRS for 41 years and 3 months. From June of 1974 to December of 1979 I was a co-op student. I was a Revenue Agent from January 1980 until I retired.
