Conditional Green Card travelling to Philippines

Hi Everyone,

I am already a permanent resident card holder, the conditional one. i am planning to visit Philippines early next year. I am just confused because my friend told me that I need to apply for Travel Document at the USCiS eventhough I am already a 2 yr conditional permanent resident card holder. I am just staying there for 2weeks.

I still remember, during my adjustment of status process. I applied form I-131 and was granted. Then I received a combo card together with my employment authority card.

Please enlighten me on this matter if i still need a travel document and what kind of travel document is that?

You got a bad advice. You GC allows to travel back to US. Reentry permits are required only if you are going for long trips like for more than a year.

I'm sorry but your friend is wrong you only need to file for an extension if you're staying for longer than 12 months. as long as you have a valid passport and a valid Green Card good to travel between the Philippines and the USA.
