Traveling with Advance Parole, waiting on interview.

Hello, My wife got her EAD card with advanced parole and is traveling to the Phillipines to bring her child back. My worry is that her interview for AOS ( green card) might be scheduled and she may miss it. What could happen if we miss or postpone due to her bring out of country?

one normally get a call for the AOS interview anywhere in between 60-90 days after having received the AP/EAD. that is when everything is moving ideally.in any case, you guys will get a 30 day notice for the interview. you can plan accordingly.

I received my EAD/AP in March last year. Hadn't heard anything about AOS interview by October so I planned a trip home to see my family. Of course, a week or two later I received a letter with about the AOS interview (date was while I'd be out of the country) Called USCIS, sent them copies of our tickets and a letter stating I would not be able to make that date. The website then said my AOS interview had been cancelled. Received a new letter a month and a half later with a new date, and went on the rescheduled date with no issues. Even talked to the USCIS officer about it during the interview and he said it was no big deal.
