I'm not sure! we just signed for it a few days ago is it supposed to just arrive in the mail? I thought because the lender technically owns the house until we pay off the mortgage that we wouldn't receive a title!?

hmmmmmm. NO~!

Good to know before purchasing a house.

We just bought our first home! yay. I just looked through the documents and i'm not really finding a document that i can submit to prove we bought a home together, we don't have the title as we have a mortgage. the only doc i have is the mortgage payments. is this enough? Am i supposed to have a deed?

You certainly have a complete copy of your mortgage. Make a copy and submit the entire thing. Not just one page! We did and no problems. Of course, we were co-borrowers so both our names are on the mortgage documents on most every page.

I'm not sure! we just signed for it a few days ago is it supposed to just arrive in the mail? I thought because the lender technically owns the house until we pay off the mortgage that we wouldn't receive a title!?

You don't need a title. The bank by law was required to provide you with a complete copy of every document you signed. You must have that. That's all you need.

I guess everyone is different then. My husband bought our new house and we got our deed/title with both of our names on it. Since we have build a new one, we got all of our names together from contract agreement with our realtor, meeting with the design center and even if there was any change of our selections from the house.

We went meet the security title company, signed the document with both of our names on it. We got our house recorded after the last payment my husband made and moved in that day. We got the deed a week later. I don't know why you don't get your deed. I have no idea correlation between a deed and a mortgage since my husband paid cash for the house maybe that's why we have our deed on hands.
