Relation between EAD and Biometrics

Hi folks -

Just received the approval notice and card production notice for the work authorization card for mom in law today (both same day).

My questions is, does this mean her biometrics came out clean? (biometrics were done 5/10/16)

Biometrics is merely making sure you are who you are. They record your fingerprints and photo. It's not a background check. They do run those, and use the fingerprints from biometrics but that's not what biometrics is for.

Thanks - that makes sense. Do you have any insight in regards to when they run the background check, I thought it was after they obtained the fingerprints and before issuing EAD. We are pending i485

No idea to be honest. While they're processing the I-485 I assume.
