I had my IV interview last year Novemberand right here in Ghana and was denied CO told me the case is gone send back to the state and she handed me with 221g denial form. My wife who is a USC obtained an attorney to enquire about our case which he did but we couldn't get no reply from them I went back around March to check the status of our case at the USCIS website on 9th March 2016 and it was stated the case has been sent to the Department Of State but since nothing changed. We never got any E-mail or notification so I tried calling NVC today and was asked to contact USCIS when I contact them they also told me they send the case out for visa processing so I should contact Department Of State back, 'Holala' I contacted them back and this time I was very lucky to speak to one nice lady and told me yes the case has been forwarded to the Embassy here in Ghana that I should contact them for any updates. In my first interview I went with 1,000 copes of whatsapp messages, 150 copies of Viber calls and messages, call logs or records from my two cellphones 162 pictures from our wedding and pictures from few places we went when she was here and other uncountable evidence to mention a few. Can anyone advice me on what to do now as well as the Ghana contact number? Thank you all

To get a quick response I would contact you senator's office and have them email the Embassy for status update or you can email the embassy directly...you can find contact info on http://ghana.usembassy.gov website

The embassy usually response to emails rather than phone calls. Is the USC in Ghana at the moment?

You had tons of evidence (imagine all the trees these people want us to kill?..smh)..

I wish you guys all the best but I hope you have found out the reason for the denial the first time.

I am happy you got this news, but something sounds strange to me that your case was sent back to USCIS, but somehow stopped at NVC and then from NVC was sent back to the embassy in Ghana.

I write this because my husband's case was also sent back to USCIS after his interview and denial. We did get an update from USCIS that the case is received and is being reviewed.

Be careful, because the NVC woman may be talking about the INITIAL approval from USCIS. That's what happened to me. I contacted USCIS to get info, and they say, "Oh yes, your petition was approved." Yes, it was approved initially, went through the system all the way to the embassy in Ghana, then was denied and sent back.

You may have to be very, very specific that your case was denied and sent back. Just my two cents. Good luck. This process is not for sissies!

Hey Lutz I appreciate your concern, I might be wrong but I think that's the procedure when you're being denied the case is sent to USCIS through NVC the only thing here is we were not notified as to them receiving the case for review or not. At the USCIS site it says they've sent the case to Department Of State, that means our case went to them and reviewed and the Department Of State site the status says it's under Administration Processes. Thanks to you all for your warm advice much grateful......

You can email or call the embassy yourselves but in my opinion you may get the most information by having a congressman or senator inquire about your case. you are correct that NVC sends the case to USCIS. They review it and if they feel the embassy was wrong in sending your case back they will return it to the embassy without needing any info or documents from the couple but I am worried because they didn't contact you by mail or email.

I agree with above advice, you should get a congressman or senator to find where and what's going on with your case, NVC told me the same that my case was sent back to the embassy and that was incorrect, or they didn't know what they were talking about I called my senator back and two months later uscis had my husbands case. I'm curious though when you check uscis site and it says it was sent to the dept of state what date is there? If it's not a recent date within the time frame your case was sent back then they gave you the wrong info and that would mean uscis hasn't received your case back yet

So basically your case was reaffirmed and sent back to Ghana without requesting for anything? That's a good news. When is your second interview? I think all that is matter in the pictures is to know the people in the pictures and probably the occasions in which the pictures were taken.
