Please dont be worried. I got myself so stressed out about the interview I was in tears on the morning of it, and it turned out to be just fine. Make sure you know all the questions in the book for the civics exam, test, test and test. After that it's pretty much just a conversation with the interviewing officer where they run through your application and you answer the questions you've already answered. My interviewing officer was lovely and we even had a couple of jokes during our conversation. It turned out to be a very big non-event, and you'll feel on top of the world once it is over. update on my case:- Interview on 04/06/17 dallas office. decision can't make at time of interview. My case went under Qulity control review, some cases gets randomly select.

story short. It got approved yesterday and Oath scheduled.

I was even more stressed out because I somehow managed to avoid/got let off having an interview both at the AOS and ROC stages and so this was the first time I had a face to face with a USCIS officer. Smile, be friendly, be confident. You have nothing to hide and you've done everything legal to get here. As long as you know your civics exam and you listen carefully to their questions you will be just fine! I'll send up some happy mojo thoughts for you on your interview day

My case was received 7/8/16, biometrics done 7/28/16 and i still have not received an interview date. I applied from NYC. On myaccount.uscis it shows "USCIS has scheduled your interview appointment and will mail you the appointment notice."

Can anyone advise if this timeline seems to be normal? anything I should be doing at this time?

Thanks for doing the math for me- I read almost the entire thread I feel people have generally waited much less (knowing some cities are faster than others). Do you think I should do anything at this point? Its not allowing me to file an e-inquiry.

You can call and ask why you are outside the posted processing time for the NY Field Office, maybe they will take an e-request for you from an L2 officer.  But maybe wait one more week.

thank you so much again! i had one interview at the consulate in Moldova which was really pleasant experience. i was really scared before. so, the same again. i know i have done everything right but still...we'll see! i'll stay positive. 

and i also wish good luck to everyone here! as i am not the only one who is expecting the interview

I have passed the interview and already gotten the letter saying that "We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt Number IOE with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony." 

Can't believe that!

In other news....... at approximately 9.45 am CST this morning my 7 year visa journey came to an end when I became an American citizen. Good luck to those who are finishing their journey. The oath ceremony was a proud moment in my life, and one I'll remember for a very long time.
