Interview done and done! Passed the 6 questions of the civics exam, read a sentence, wrote an answer and the rest of it was just running through basic questions relating to my life and my relationship with my husband. Passed and recommended for approval so now we wait for the oath ceremony date. My interviewing officer was a really nice guy, and I'm very very relieved that the interview is done! Good luck those who still waiting for this stage of the process to be done.

I ask had my interview today at Dallas office. It went well and I passed but issue is in N-652 IO check box A decision an't be made in your application.

don't know what does this mean. IO was nice saying he will recommend for approval but heck box says different and no update on case status.

 

is anyone is same boat my PD is 7/12/2016.

What time was your interview? We were probably there at the same time lol. The guy I interviewed with ticked the recommended for approval box and by the time I got him my online status had changed to you are in line for an oath ceremony. Not sure why yours does not say the same and I hope you don't have to wait too long for your decision.

Hello I'm from Chicago I had my interview 2 week ago on march 22 still no update can't take this anymore 😞😞 the official mark my case as approval but still no update

I had my interview on March 24th in St.Louis. then on March 28th my status had changed to in line for Oath. Now still waiting for the Oath.

When i checked my status, on elis shows they scheduled my Oath but then on egov.uscis.gov shows im in line for Oath. Dont really know whats goin on.

I heard from another applicant that you have to surrender your green card at the naturalization interview. Is this true? If so, what do you do if you need to travel out of the country in the meantime? Advance parole? I know it's not ideal, but my tickets are booked, so this may happen.

Yes you will surrender your Green card. During my oath-taking an old lady ask the USCIS employee if she can keep the GC for souvenir  and she was declined.

After the oath-taking ceremony, you will receive an envelope that includes a greeting from the President and passport application form. you can fill-up this form and go to the nearest Post office.

You can expedite your passport application and pay a higher fees.

Yes, you are SOL until you get a new passport AFAIK.
