Hi! i found the letter from them which i was so confused yesterday about. it was their answer in my request . that was it.

What I find really bizarre is if I go to uscis.gov and do an update based on my receipt number it shows I was scheduled for an interview. If I go to my account which I have been using all along to look for updates, it still shows nothing since biometrics since last July. I haven't had a text or email notification of change of status either.

We had the same too. It does not update in your account until the PDF show up for the interview. For us it was next day after the status change. Someone else here took 4-5 days to show up in their account.

I have my interview next week and wanted to check if there are any other documents I should bring other than what is stated in the letter. I am bringing my marriage certificate, previous and current passport, tax returns, ss card, drivers license etc. Anything else? Thanks!

You pretty much have it covered. Sounds like you are applying under 3 yr rule. Marriage license and proof of spousal citizen (their passport, birth certificate, etc) is important. From what I read, some IO don't even ask for it. They will go through your application and ask what you have answered and also about your spouse (marriage date, any out of the country travel, etc)

I'm able to apply under either the 3-yr or 5-yr rule (what can I say, we dragged our feet a bit after removing conditions a couple years ago...), and I still feel kind of shocked at how little evidence you really need if your situation is a simple one (i.e. still married, maybe have a kid or two, haven't left the country much). Not that I long for the days of hunting up photos and saving utility statements or anything, but it feels so weird to not need very much

Thanks! I'm actually applying under 5-year rule. I'm just a bit paranoid because my green card was obtained through marriage and my citizenship interview requires a lot fewer documents than the green card process!

I feel the same! That's why I'm paranoid. I applied for my green card through marriage and had to bring a ton of supporting documents. I think I'm just going bring more than required anyway. In case....
