I have my interview on Wednesday this week. I was hoping to get a January oath ceremony, but that looks like it's out the window with the latest news. I am in the difficult position that my GC runs out this month and I am going travelling (hopefully) after a January oath ceremony for a couple of months. I am going to see if they will fast track my background checks to make the January ceremony. I am sorry everyone is going through this. I so wish I had applied with the old form.

After three and half months of waiting for whatever i have been waiting for i am going tomorrow for my second biometrical appointment! i won't b surprised if i will get the third and etc!!!!!!

Had my interview today and passed. Asked six easy peasy civic questions that I could see beforehand on the desk while the officer was looking at something else.

I wasn't asked for any documents or anything. Told me that the oath ceremonies are "backed up" so I won't be able to attend one for a few months. I requested an i-551 stamp as my GC has expired and they happily obliged. The whole thing took less than 15 minutes. Phew!

Anyway, i assume that the waiting time has started for me from the beginning, as if it was my "first" bio-metrical appointment ?

That news from the House Judiciary are devastating for us

I called to the 800 number and of course, they were useless. I'm planning on going to the second biometrics appointment on Dec 13, as scheduled. One thing though, now that you mention it: I asked if this would put me back on step zero for the waiting line to interview, and they said no, because cases are attended in the same order they arrive. So I'm really hoping that they will send me some better news soon after this second bio

Just spoke to a friend who got her interview notice this morning. She is an IOE.

**Her letter showed up in the ELIS system this morning; it was not there yesterday.

Hi everyone. Really good news here. I got a text message and an e-mail from USCIS today saying an action had been taken on my case. I logged in and found a message. "On December 12, 2016, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number IOE..." My PD is 07/03. I still don't know when the interview will be since the letter still doesn't appear on ELIS. My Field office is Washington, DC. I will let you know as soon as I know. At least the process is not completely stopped.
