You need the original copy, they will look for the original signatures and notary stamp. The supporting documents like tax returns, pay stubs, can be photo copies, the letter from employer should be the original one also.

As far as I know, you will need the original affidavit of support for your interview and the bank/job letters should be originals as well. And I don't think you need to worry about the tattoo

thanks a lot! we hired a lawyer and his lawyer told him that the original copy of the affidavit of support was passed in USICS and he can't get that back. Does he need to fill out again the affidavit of support?

The affidavit of support is only needed at the interview at the consulate, USCIS doesn't deal with that part. Did he send it with the 129-F petition?

It sounds like another moronic lawyer screwing up another case. I never consulted a lawyer in this process, they seem to just take a lot of money to do things wrong.

You need to present the original I-134 form to the Visa interviewing Officer at the consulate, if you don't you will get a blue slip requesting that you return with it, and I would not be using that lawyer to handle the overcome with the consulate.

The I-134 needs the petitioner's signature and it needs to be notarized by a notary officer, the form needs to be signed in front of the officer. This needs to be done in the USA of if your fiancee is with you now, he can get it notarized at the embassy in Manila before the interview.

We are in the same boat. Our lawyer submitted everything to the USCIS and we were advised that the affidavit of support will be forwarded to the USE Manila included in the petition papers. But just to be safe, my fiance made another copy of affidavit of support and have it notarized. He sent it to me and i received this morning. The date is more current so I suggest you should request from your fiance to make another notarized affidavit of support for you. But the bank statements and company letter those are all same date when we submitted all the documents to our lawyer.
