It's been way over 60 days, and every time I call they tell me no. I was wondering if anyone else has confirmed their date? Thank you much appreciated.

My CR-1 case is completed June 2 as well and I called yesterday with no interview date :/ I will call again Friday and hope for the best. Over 60 days is ridiculous but I think you will get an interview date for August!

Yeah. Judging by the average time wait for an interview is ridiculously long! I just got my interview date set at 8/8/2016. Judging by your CC, you mom will have an October interview. But I hope much sooner than that. Who knows someone might cancel their appointment and you may be a lucky one. Good luck!!

Hi BigCatCougar I called last Monday still no day for me my case complete April 7.

Congratulations on getting a date!! I am so sorry that you waited way longer than anyone else! I can imagine how frustrated you are! It must have been a mistake that they didn't schedule back in may. But your date seems pretty close to everyone elses. What I am confused about is why did they skip over your case and assign peoples with later CCs. Logically that doesn't make any sense. I smell a mistake. Oh well. There's light at the end of the tunnel. Will you attend the interview with your wife?

Thank you Smartwater!!! I finally got an interview for August 8, 2016. Roughly 60 days is the average wait now to schedule an interview. I asked them the reason and they told me the sheer volume of applicants exceeds their workload capabilities. Especially for Vietnam. Will you attend the interview with your wife? If you do, you will see how many people are there in one day. I see why it takes so long. BUT. The process should be revised. They are scheduling around the K-1 visas. K visas can schedule whenever they get their package. And the NVC schedules our cases. Im guessing the consulate picks out some dates to reserve just for CR/IR cases and maybe some extra. They should allow us to schedule our own appointments that way it will be fair. Then it will truly be first come first serve. Judging by your CC it your wife will have an October interview. But we can all hope for sooner. Good luck! You will be scheduled at the end of August. But lets hope for sooner. Like August!

I was hoping for either August or September. October is way too long lol. Fingers crossed for hearing something end of July for September!

Yeah. October is very far away. But hopefully it slows down and you will get a date in September or late August. Keep calling and keep asking when they will start scheduling again after this round of scheduling ends. If you don't get a date assigned by the 8th. If you don't have anything by then, call biweekly. Like on Tuesday and Fridays. That's what I did for the longest time. So much disappointment though. I'm going to cross my fingers for you Smartwater!! I hope you get a date soon!

BigCat,

Did you call or receive an email from them?

Oh and no. Not yet. It comes around a week later. If not I will call again to confirm they sent it to the right email address. It will come soon. I double checked and two people told me the date so I know it's not a fake date.

Well I called today and they said nothing as of yet. Also, they are done with the August scheduling for Vietnam consulate appointments as of today. We will have to wait to hear more until end of July.

I'm sorry they didn't schedule all the way out to June yet. I'm sure next month (or sooner, remember if people reschedule or cancel, they will fill in that slot with who's next). I'm sure you will most likely get a date next month when they start scheduling again for September. Don't give up hope and call every day when it's the last week of July. Another month to go and you will have it! I'm hoping for sooner though. We all have been waiting so long!!
