So i got my visa today. And the packet which is on the yellow/brown envelope. When i tried to read the white warning!!!page, it state that when the packet is torn or damage you need to send it back to the usembassy and have it resealed again. I checked on my envelope, and i saw something on it, on the right side below, i can see that it is crumpled and when i double checked, it is tear off. It is not so big that can get inside a piece of paper. (Its just like a half inch of my finger) It looks like the 2go courier on how they handled it, made it that way. I asked CFO office about it today and they said its okay and nothing's wrong with it. Some people had like that and it went okay. As long as the packet is intact and a piece of paper cant fit on it, im good to go. But im just so worried cuz when i called us embassy, they said it has to be resealed, but its my own discretion cuz some port of entry in the U.S. might or might not notice it. But still, they advice me to give it back to them. Or other option is, i will go directly to US embassy and have it reseal personally.

I hope anyone can help me decide what to do about it. Cebu is too far to manila. And what if i will resend it back to us embassy and same thing, 2go courier will reap off again my packet because they really dont care on whats inside it ????. I am so stressed out on preparing all this stuff.

If it is a very small tear, 1/2" like you say, (not the cut corner), you would probably be fine. After removing your passport from the plastic, keep the DO NOT OPEN envelop tightly wrapped in the plastic, keeping that safe and secure in your carry on bag.

If you are concerned and the tear is larger, follow the embassy recommendation.

Yes, it is a very small size(1/2') and obviously that its not intentionally tear off. If i can just send you a picture right now i could've attach here. But i don't know how. Lol but this should be fine. I'll just make sure that it is on safe side.

Thank you again and again hank! ?

I think you are fine, wrap the plastic around it snugly and tape it, then put it in your carry on bag... you will be fine.

Safe Travels!

Your observing a condition that most face. The topic has been discussed so much here. If you can't get your fingers or hand into paper envelope then you'll be fine. Have a great trip.
