What's your correct name anyway ?? Muhammad Ali (Gosh I'd never change that name, you're a legend you know that ).

Correct your name, has to be the same through out, don't bring complications, it's hard to travel with so many imp documents all the time. Do urself a favor and correct your name.

I don't agree with the previous post. I traveled many times with different names in my passport and GC and never had any problem. They will know every name that you have ever used because, when they fingerprint you, all of your names are stored in their database under your A-number. Just take your marriage license with you as the main document evidencing your name change.

You dont get to just pick a new name in the USA until citizenship. You must use your legal name. For women that means you can use your husband's last name or a combination of both. For men, you need a court document to generally change your name.

Hi,

You can not switch your first and last name. You would need a court order to do that.

Your marriage certificate does not make a connection between Muhammad Ali on the passport and Ali Muhammad on the marriage certificate. USCIS will see this as two different people.

You need to fix your marriage certificate, DL/ID, etc. to reflect the name on the passport and your visa.

Best of luck.
