Hi all, I have couple of questions ( I am unsure 100% that is why I am posting here )

1- I have conditional green card for 2 years. What should I bring with me when traveling to Poland to Secure coming back to the US simply and not to deported to my home country which is Egypt ? Do I have to bring advance parole card with me besides the GC?

2- I applied for schengen visa to visit Poland. Now I have transit in Germany. Will I have to apply for a transit visa in Germany ? And does it have to be my first country to visit is Poland or any schengen area would be okay ?

Thanks

1. GC and valid passport. Nobody is going to deport you anywhere.

2. Any Schengen country is OK. Flying in from Germany, nobody is going to check any visas, they get checked only when you enter US.

Word of warning though - there's whole bunch of brainless morons who consider anybody with a darker skin color an "islamists" (fallout of European refugee crisis) and there were people (Syrians living in Warsaw) that got beaten.

Recent elections resulted in government of complete idiots which only strengthened nationalistic movements.

Just to add, if you have a Schengen visa for Poland it's good for any Schengen country, including Germany, that you may transit on the way there or back. I don't think the Germans require transit visas anyway but even if they do your existing Schengen visa works for that.

Thanks for your replies.

Just want to know for safety measures, what to do in case GC is lost or stolen ? Can I enter the US with a photocopy of the GC ? or Should I contact the embassy ? And what is my situation going to be ?

Go to the embassy. The airline will never allow you to board with a photocopy.

That's good to know to contact the embassy in case bad things happen- God forbid. Is the embassy gonna issue me another GC while I am in Poland or what is the procedure exactly ? Thank you

No, green cards are produced in the US. I assume they wil issue you some kind of transportation letter to allow the airline to board you. Then you'd have to file a form for replacement of lost green card and pay the fee (I think it's $450) when you get back to the US.
