Good day to all. My permanent resident card is in my maiden name, not by choice but by mistake in filling out the form. i was adviced from a different website that if i wanted my card change i would have to file for a change and would again be spending precious dollars. so i was advice to just wait, if i want to save money, until i file to lift the condition and then correct it then. im now in the process of filing and got confused on how to fill it. my husband called uscis and was told to file it using my maiden name. thats what got me into this predicament(PR card in my maiden name) in the first place.

i badly needed any advice coz im planning to send my I-751 this week.

thank you very much and God bless.

Hi,

I put my married name in "Part 1" which is asking for a family name. And I put my maiden name in "Part 3" as other names used. Like you, my 2 yr green card is also in my maiden name. We have just sent our I-751 last week. Good luck with your removal.....

Our situation is exact! Very good question!

Kim's 2yrs card has her name as it is in her passport from Vietnam.

We plan to apply the new card in Kim's marriage name as you two have mentioned above. I hope it works!!!! Can someone who have done this route before confirm it?

Thanks

Hey guys,

I've just received my NOA1 and Biometrics Appointment Letter yesterday. And this time they addressed it to me in my married name. So I guess, what I suggested in my earlier post works. Good luck.
