Hi, I am green card holder applied for join family for my wife and 1,5 year old son. The USCIS approved the case currently we are dealing with the NVC. Currently I am in the USA but my wife and son there are overseas. Recently I submitted the financial evidence docs like tax file affidavit. I have one joint sponsor who is sponsoring my wife and son. I, myself fill out the affidavit too so i submit two affidavit one from me and one sponsor's affidavit. Last week I received an email from NVC. They asked me to correct the mistake but i am confused please share your thoughts and experiences. Thank you folks.

NVC's email: [x] In Part 5. Sponsor's Household Size, please correct the following...
[x] Item 8. The household size must equal the sum of: sponsor + traveling applicants + household members filing a Form I-864A.

I'm not sure how to help you. We don't know the sponsor's household size, you do.

Did you submit two I-864s (on for you & one for the joint sponsor) or one I-864 and one I-864A?

Your co-sponsor has to include in the Household Size count everyone they are responsible for in their own household or kids from a prior marriage not living with them. A good indicator is the number of dependents they have on their tax return. This gets added to the 3 (wife plus 2 children) count.

How Do I Count Household Size?
Your household size includes yourself and the following individuals, no matter where they live: any spouse, any
dependent children under 21 years of age, any other dependents listed on your most recent Federal income tax return, all
persons being sponsored in this affidavit of support, and any immigrants previously sponsored with Form I-864 or Form
I-864 EZ, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the INA, whom you are still obligated to support. If necessary to
meet the income requirements to be a sponsor, you may include additional relatives (adult children, parents, or siblings) as
part of your household size as long as they have the same principal residence as you and promise to use their income and
resources in support of the intending immigrant(s).
