How is the boy anyway? Would he be annoying and maybe change your plans for what you want to do?

My kids would be the same way.

If the kid is really well behaved I probably wouldn't mind but that is usually not the case. When you get someones kid dumped on you.

My ex would drink with this couple and one day her kids showed up at my house. I guess their mom figure I would watch them since I don't drink and she could party with the guys.

Well needless to say they went back home.

He behaves better with me than with his mom to be honest, but I'm way more strict. He got a timeout in Target the other day because he kept running around in people's way. I don't fall for pouting or pretend crying or whining (kiddo tried all 3). I think I'm just more consistent. Her kid listens to me better and so does her dog. I am starting to dislike hubs best friend more as they live with us because he's too controlling. He likes things his way and he also likes being the center of attention. So his son is similar, and pouts when he's not getting his way or is the center of attention.

You of course, don't have to heed my advice.

But whether if you do them the favor or not. Don't take a dime for it. It will save a tremendous amount of grief at a later time.

Because if you take nothing for it, it unequivocally makes you "the good guy".

Nothing bad can be said of you, to anyone, at any later time.

So his son is similar, and pouts when he's not getting his way or is the center of attention.
